    Well done jessbob...

Thanks. Its weird, cos I didnt think the interview went all that well, due to the girl not writing much down when I was giving my answers:confused:

Anyway, onto the long wait now for the checks and the phone call:rotfl:

    Thank you:j

Was good advice of yours to re-structure my competency answers:T

Err, thank you (if you are being serious).

When I spoke to the recruitment lady in Leeds yesterday she said all the posts would be filled by the end of October, early November so they would be ready to place the next batch, i.e. you, straight away.

I was being serious:D I do recall you telling me I must be waffling too much, so I stopped !!:rotfl:

Brill news about possible placements. Will have to look into where the jobcentres are in West Yorkshire, being a South Yorkshire girl:rotfl:

How will you get to work and where do you live?

I live near Rotherham, and can get the train from my village straight through to Leeds. Train calls at Moorthorpe,Fitzwilliam, Sandal and Agbrigg, Wakefield and Outwood before it gets to Leeds, so hopefully there will be a few JCP offices this side of Leeds
  • You definitely need Leeds or Wakefield - everywhere else would be a nightmare. Hunslet is only 1 mile from Leeds City Centre so a 5 min bus journey from outside the train station. Any other locations and you might struggle to do it in a reasonable time frame.

Did they give you a choice of locations when you went for interview?
  • No - none at all. In fact I wasn't even given a choice when I was posted.
  • Hey. Well i took your advice and phoned to see where i am on the waiting list. turns out im not on the waiting list, im on the merit list (the letter they sent out was the wrong one lol), and thats why my referees havent been contacted as they dont need references. Ive been advised that i will be recieving a job offer very very soon. Yeehaa!

    Hi all,

This is my first post but I thought I would spare my experience so far in regards to the above IRC Number.

I went to the interview in Hillsborough, got the "you have been successfull letter" 3 weeks after and I am still awaiting my pre-recruitment checks.

However just wondering if anyone else got a phone call from dwp on Friday to get telephone numbers for there referees?? A lady from dwp called ma and asked if I could give her them as it would speed the process up as thats all they were waiting for now before they let me know if and when I can start work with them.

I checked with my referees and they had indeed had a phonecall from them so fingers crossed ill receive some more news this week. Any responses are very much appreciated.

I also applied for IRC-60529 and was also successfull but havent heard anything else about that.

    Thanks Again.

    :)
I phoned up Tuesday last week and was told that they were waiting for my a references to come back. Have badgered my references all week and yesterday found out they'd been sent an email!! 1st I've heard of emails and can can only assume they hadn't sent my reference requests out when I asked.
Am going to chase today getting frustrating I hate being lied to!
I f you didn't know there's no waiting list for 60535 just a merit list so apparently we'll be posted pretty quick following checks.
