Job Interview with DWP

Someone called me on Thursday to find out my address for the last 5 years to start the pre check process but I havent got any letters to say I was successful. I asked and they didnt want to disclose anything... apparently there is a backlog on CRB checks...IRC 61715
That sounds quite unusual, i thought the checks came after the letter? Maybe they are checking people first now before they tell them they are successful?
I would take it as a good sign...why else would the bother doing checks? You just need to ring them up and ask when the letters for your ref number are being sent out. They should be able to tell you this as its not as if you are asking over the phone if you have been successful or anything, just that you want to know when you will receive the letter."You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
I rang yesterday and they didnt want to disclose anything ...saying I will have to wait.. Really dont know the purpose of that stupid piece of paper Manpower is giving out, if they dont give any info at all....
Professionalism at its hightest with Manpower....
I need a job so desperately, cant stand this waiting game, its easier when you dont have any dependants but I have a son and hubby....and times are so so difficult now....Lord help me...0 -
Just received my successful letter from DWP regarding IRC 62053 (EO West Yorkshire).:j:j
To say my interview was only on the 29th August, they have been pretty speedy this time:T:T
No mention of a waiting list either.0 -

Took me 4 goes to get there for the EO vacancies, but if at first you don't succeed.... well, you know how it goes:rotfl:
Thing is - is they ring me with a start date for the AO vacancies, do I accept until I hear about the EO, or decline and wait0 -

Hmmmm...probably would be best to decline. I'm not sure how they would take it if you accepted one job and then decided to take another shortly after, as it would be taking a position that someone else who actually really wanted to be an AO could of had.
If i got EO which is for more money, i would definitely rather go for that one...even if i have to wait slightly longer.
Anyway, well done again...hopefully it will be worth the wait! Now you can go and moan with the rest of us on the 'DWP waiting list' thread for news on your EO position! :rotfl:"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
