Hey Venus,
I have applied for the basildon rayleigh, southend and brentwood on IRC61505.
Still haven't heard much yet but was speaking to a guy in the jobcentre and he said that they can be quite slow and that he was new and they didn't even check his references.
Where you applied for ???0 -
Does anyone know anything about IRC61715???0

I'm currently waiting for pre-recruitment checks for AO (no mention of waiting list) on fixed contract.
I've noticed an EO position is now being advertised.
If I applied for the EO at this stage would it jeopardise my prospects of an offer for the AO position?
No. I applied for both grades in various places and have been offered 4 jobs so don't worry about it - just go for it.
There really isn't much in the way of cross referencing! I've had 4 CRB checks done.0 -

Oh i've applied for the Merseyside (Wirral) area. Perhaps Liverpool as i can get the bus there...takes about ten years but it's do-able.
They didn't check his references? Hmmmmm? I wonder if they do that for a lot of people? Maybe if their checks don't come up with adequate info, then they resort to asking your references just to make sure you didn't lie about anything etc?"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
I got a phonecall from the jobcentre about the recent DWP interview I had been successful at and asked me if I wanted to come in for a 'taster' thing. He said this doesn't necessarily mean a job offer, but does anyone know what exactly it is, and if it will lead to a job or if it's unrelated...I'm a bit clueless and confused?!0

I had my interview today in Coventry for IRC 61880 job based in Coventry/Warwickshire.
Actually the interview seemed to go well. Lasted about half an hour, they asked 4 questions based on the competencies.
Tell me about a time when you have provided a Professional Service
Tell me about a time you have delivered a good Customer Service
Tell us when you have personally developed your Knowledge in order to do your job.
Tell us when you have used evidence to guide your work.
The last one was a little odd, but as a nurse I used the evidence based practice I have used in the past.. The two guys were friendly, didn't give too much away aside from telling me I did well and that what I had to say was varied and well delivered.. They said I have to wait 3 weeks before I hear anything more from them..0 -

Interesting post because I got my placement date today so rang my new boss and asked if I could go in for a day as an observer so it wasn't too much of a culture shock on day 1. I was told that for "liability purposes" it wouldn't be possible.0 -
Sounds made up to me Counterfeit, perhaps they are too busy..... if it was true we would never have bring your child to work day.

Hi all,
This is my first post but I thought I would spare my experience so far in regards to the above IRC Number.
I went to the interview in Hillsborough, got the "you have been successfull letter" 3 weeks after and I am still awaiting my pre-recruitment checks.
However just wondering if anyone else got a phone call from dwp on Friday to get telephone numbers for there referees?? A lady from dwp called ma and asked if I could give her them as it would speed the process up as thats all they were waiting for now before they let me know if and when I can start work with them.
I checked with my referees and they had indeed had a phonecall from them so fingers crossed ill receive some more news this week. Any responses are very much appreciated.
I also applied for IRC-60529 and was also successfull but havent heard anything else about that.
Thanks Again.0 -
Someone called me on Thursday to find out my address for the last 5 years to start the pre check process but I havent got any letters to say I was successful. I asked and they didnt want to disclose anything... apparently there is a backlog on CRB checks...IRC 617150
