Re. IRC61139, Liverpool, got my interview result letter today. Unfortunately, I was not successful. Naturally, I am feeling very disappointed, as I thought my interview went okay, except for one tricky question at the beginning.
Have spent the whole day feeling utterly despondent and demoralised as a result of getting the bad news.
Has anybody else had an unsuccesful letter for this vacancy IRC61139?
I'm really sorry to hear that.Did you have your interview on the 31st and 10:45 like me? I am shocked i got it as that was my first ever formal interview. I guess i was just lucky. I have spoken to lots and lots of people who have said they went for two or more interviews before they finally were successful. I was preparing to have to apply again. You have passed the lit and numeracy tests so that makes any future applications a bit easier anyway. Try not to feel too down, you know what it is like now, so have a much better chance next time.

Ta very much!
The assessment doesn't scare me at all, its remembering all of my examples for the interview! I have done lots of this type of interview before so I am feeling alright about it (so far....:p)0 -

Well you sound well prepared!! I'm sure you will do well then.
I just spent a few days before the interview matching the bullet points to things i have done and tried to remember them. You can take in notes but i didn't, scared i would be too busy reading to answer properly!! Haha. I was regretting it afterwards though, thinking i didn't hit enough of the bullet points, but i was successful anyway... thank god! I am so chuffed, considering i have never had a formal interview before (just fluked my way into jobs haha) never mind a competencies/behavioural style one!! Now its just waiting for a job start. From what i have read on forums here, it could be a while!

Really Sorry to hear this Truegho.
Are these all AO jobs or are you trying for EO's and HEO's.
This may have been bad luck at the interview, esp cos you KNOW you can get placed.
Remember the saying 'no matter how much you shake a bottle of milk the cream eventually finds its way to the top'. Next attempt TrueghoKeep aiming high!

out of interest - those of you who have had "the call", did they ring your mobile or your home phone??? Only as I'm working at the mo and don't have an answer machine at home. Wouldn't want to miss the call as the job i'm doing now is brain numbingly boring.
Thanks for your help, those of you who are still waiting - fingers crossed - for those of you who were unsuccessful, try again I did and thankfully this time I've been successful.
Best of luck to you all.0 -
