Hi Jessbob
Thanks for the kind words. I am really pleased that you finally got the job (I always like to hear successful stories). It just bears out the old adage, doesn't it: if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
As I said, I will just have to keep on trying till I get there, no matter how demoralising and horrible job rejection is. (Never known such bad times as these.)
All the best
TrueghoDon't give up, Truegho. I had 3 interviews with DWP before getting the successful letter. I was unsuccessful for the EO interview, which I though went a lot better than the AO interview - so you just don't know what happens on the day !
I have applied for the EO position in West Yorkshire, but not heard back with a view to interview or on line test as yet.
I know it is very soul destroying - I have been out of work since Feb due to redundancy and have spent every day scouring for vacancies on sites, ringing companies, sending out cvs to companies just on the off chance, and it is so demoralizing to hardly ever get a response.
Keep you chin up and don't give up.0 -
Hello don't be put down so much I went to 3 AA interviews and I was unsuccessfull but I kept trying made it through to the fourth one. I think you have to be patient and keep a determined attidute and keep trying and DWP jobs keep coming up.
I used to after each unsuccessfull letter write to DWP and request feedback from them and work on areas that I needed to improve upon.
Keep tring patience is the key.Hi Jessbob

Oh my word, my interview on Monday was awful. I never had a competency based interview before. They floored me with the first question and I didn't seem to recover from it! I think my answers were ok, I just didn't deliver them very well. I was so nervous and the form filling beforehand didn't help. The room I was in was very intimidating - a massive old dark wooden table, and it was really oppressive. The interviewers were lovely though and I feel a bit like I wasted their time. :embarasse
Oh well, nevermind, don't let me put you off. Good luck everyone x
I know I'm just going to have to try again!0 -
