Job Interview with DWP

Hi Jessbob,

3rd time lucky, fingers crossed, was this time different to the last times you have been?

I tell you what i found stange was the amountof people already working for the DWP comnig for the external interview as it is apprently easier than the internal one!!

There are LOADS of people already working for DWP applying for the posts. Most of those I spoke to did as well !!!

This interview was more relaxed than the other 2 I think. The first one I wasnt prepared at all as I didn't think I would have the intervew the same day as the tests !!!!

Second was rubbish - Capita did the interviews and they were so disorganised it was unbelievable. Didnt like the man that interviewed me either !

Problem with me is that I have worked in the legal field all my working life, and the only examples I can give them is from my legal work - not sure if this is what they are looking for.

Applied for the AO vacancy as well - interviews were the week after. Applied for another EO position just in case at Leeds :rotfl:

Never mind. We will see

I asked my friend what her Irc WAS - It was 61883 applied 27the closing date 30th.

She hasn't heard anything. It has been suggested that it might take 2 weeks or so on here. I promised her I would ask if anyone else had heard anything yet.

I had interview for the south yorkshire band c jobs in sheffield hillsborough on 16th July and im still waiting. I think its the same one that you are talking about so hopefully will hear soon!! also had interview for west yorkshire band c on 6th July and heard nothing about that!!!! still waiting isnt it frustrating???

just try to explain your examples in as much detail as possible, they can be from your work life home life or whatever as long as they relate. also dont be nervous the interviews iv had have been quite informal and very nice interviewees. there isnt a right or wrong answer u just have to be thorough. they will ask you loads of questions everytime you give an example but dont worry they do that with everyone it doesnt mean you have said anything wrong.

any colour shirt it doesnt matter as long as you look smart.

Certainly is !!!

I've just applied for the West Yorkshire EO positions. Applied before, but they telephoned me to say that I should have been called for interview, but there was a 'glitch' in the system. applied again, so suppose will have the on line test again !!!

i currently work at a school so i had a fair few examples that i could use, whether or not they were good enough i dont know yet, havent heard back.

Hey guys,

I went for the Southeast EO interview for IRC 60370 on the 16th of July.
Still no word and when I called up one week they said they have been slow sending the letters out. I phoned a week later and this time the interviews havnt been finished yet.

It is good to see the DWP employee resource centre has honest and informed staff. woo.

Anyhoo, my cousin is an XO in a local town and his department has been told that they will receive the next in flux of staff in September. Is that for the people on a waiting list? or for peeps (like me) who were interviewd in July?

He couldnt say. Alas nepitisim can only get you so far...
