    Hi

I too had my interview on the 24th July and after 15 agonising days, have received three letters today. I received my CRB, test results and success letter. They are now doing pre-recruitment checks so it sounds promising. Can't wait until they actually offer me a role and then I will be confident I have the job!
    Well done by the way.

Which IRC did you apply for?
My interview was 14th July, and I still have no news

    Congrats on your success :T

The IRC was 61099 - fingers crossed for you!!!

Jessbob - i'm sure you'll be ok, I didn't make it the 1st time I applied so just kept applying. They may not even have a position for me yet, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Hope all works out for you guys.

What's this basic skills test, I've never heard of it. Look at the original job spec if you have it, there should be 4 comptencies, you should expect to be asked 4 questions based on these comptencies, 1 for each comptency. If you don't give enough information they will prompt you with more questions. Hope this helps.

What region is your interview in, good luck.
  • Its in west yorkshire! the basic skills test is the literacy and numeracy test!, I dont have the original job spec so have just been looking on this forum for questions they might ask and have prepared answers for those.

Seeing that you have an interview on Tuesday, I take it you have taken and passed the online test. If so, there is no literacy/numeracy test.

If it's AO I guess it might be the same competencies as those I listed in a previous post here:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=23401823&highlight=#post23401823

    Behavioural competencies
    • Professional competencies
    Customer Insight (43KB)
Delivering a Customer Service Level 1
  • I didn't do the online test as I ticked the guaranteed interview box just got a phone call inviting me to interview, does anybody know if because I didnt do the online test if I will have to do the lit/num test?
I can only prepare as though i will have to do them.

    thanks in advance

About these tests it's either the online test or literacy/numeracy test, it is used for sifting candidates and testing takes place before the actual interview. Only those that pass are invited for interview. I'm guessing that you ticked "guaranteed interview" and was made exempt from taking these tests.

    Hi

I went for dwp jobcemtre interview twice in the past and failed. Now im sitting here trying to make up examples of these competencies

    # Analysing, Improving and Changing – level 1
    # Building Capability – level 1
    # Delivering a Customer Focused Service - level 1
    # Customer Insight - level 1

I have no clue on how to answer these. Has someone got a template. I mean building capability seems too puzzling

I have the interview this tuesday
