Job Interview with DWP

Urgh, i'm so nervous about the results of my interview! Its like torture having to wait up to four weeks!!! I really, really want this job so bad!!! Chomping at the bit!! Have such bad feelings though. I know, i know I'm pessimistic!! I can't help it!!! Did anyone else have an interview in Liverpool recently? Have any of you received your results yet?

Hello again!

Thought I'd put a quick update on as to how my EO application was going. I completed the online tests in June and heard nothing so I chased the DWP and heard nothing! I chased again last week and was told I had passed them but Manpower had been unable to contact me - even though they had all the correct details !!! The lady at the DWP said that the vacancy had expired now so wasn't sure what could be done.

I errupted at that point :mad::mad::mad:!! I said that they obviously hadn't tried to contact me as the details were correct and as I am out of work at the moment I am taking every call that comes in!! Also, had Manpower not heard of voicemail???? Just seems to me that there were no calls to arrange an interview!

The lady at DWP said that there were another batch of interviews lined up later this month around the 27th and my name was on the list! So fingers crossed they actually call this time and arrange one with me :rolleyes:.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen or am I unique??

Hello, I don't this is unique as I'm pretty sure something similar happened to me in that I didn't get a call. I applied for a position the deadline was the 23rd June. I then had to complete the online test for which the deadline was 2nd July. I haven't heard anything since then. I called about a week ago and was told that calls not been made yet, but I really didn't believe what I was told as it seemed that everyone else was having an interview about 2 weeks after completing the online test.

I have pretty much lost hope regarding this application but may chase them up just to see what they say.

DWP contacted me last week regarding my applicationfor West Yorkshire - apparently I was on the list for interviews but she said 'there has been a glitch in the system and people haven't been contacted ' !!! The interviews have now finished as well - she said I would be put on another list - so who knows

I had an interview in Sheffield (IRC 60535 - AO) on 14th July

I've not heard anything either

Sheffield update:Letters are going out this wkend.cos of the technical problems encountered,more pple were invited for the interviews so d reason for the delay.....start date for this positions not known at all cos the first batch b4 us r still on the waiting list. anoda EO opening is on thier website for the same west yorkshire....Let say in anoda 7days we will all know the outcome of the result....all the best guys

My friend and I were discussing this subject earlier today as she sent off her application form for EO 27/7, closing date was 30/7

Is it normal that she hasn't heard anything at all since then?
