once you have got your disclosure it takes about 1-2 weeks to be offered a start date, (unless you are on a waiting list). Looks like there will be no more recruitment by the DWP now in terms of AO and EO positions, they have just closed applications for AO and EO in the south west (gloucester, stroud etc) and i think that will be about it for 6 months, i may be wrong though. Im currently an AO in gloucester and have applied for the EO position.

Thanks Nick, its been a week since i got my disclosure back so hopefully not much longer but i'm worried my work history might delay the whole process as i've just come out of uni so there's probably gonna be a gap. Do you think they'll just contact my references?

    Hi,

I have heard today that my personal referees have been contacted with letters, I believe they are in the format of a questionnaire. Pretty straight forward I imagine. Does this mean any progress? I know I am about number 20 on the list. :S
  • Hi all!

Just completed my 3rd day of training after starting Monday.

Going well so far, was 16 on the intial induction with 4 of us being based at City JCP (Head Office i believe for that area)

Lots of new skills to pick up.

Have an EO interview this friday for position in north Essex/Chelmsford.

Anyone here going or been to that one?

    or

Anyone else start this week at JCP??

Hey Sportycus, were you being shown around in City JCP? I was introduced to four people today, found out they were all EOs. It is a bit mind-boggling that they need so many EOs when I need to cover AOs even though I'm an EO!
  • Do we receive the completed CRB from DWP? I e-mailed scotland disclosure and was advised that the CRB was completed on 03/12/09. Still waiting to receive my copy:confused:

Yep, they should send it you so if they don't, phone them and ask where it is. I think I got mine about 2 weeks later than the date on the CRB.
