I sent an email to scotland disclosure yesterday and I have'nt heard anything yet.Well I guess its still early. But considering that e mails were replied at 10pm.I am starting to worry that may be DWP did not send it.
Is there a specific format as I just gave my name and date of birth and asked how long the checks would take..

Did you use the email that was given on this thread?

I emailed them late and received a reply within half an hour from someone named Kelly. I gave my name, address and date of birth. I just asked if they had received my application and if they had, would they mind telling me how long it would take for it to be processed. I was told my application was received on the 16th Nov and that my application is now with their vetting team.

I totally agree with you! I called and was told there was no waiting list as we had to wait for pre-recruitment checks to be done on all those successful before we would be place in order. I was told to wait at least 4 weeks for all the checks to be done and then they would contact me.

Contradictively, there are posts on here that state where they are postioned. So I could not even recommend calling them up to answer your questions because it seems we are all given different answers!

The only thing I believe may be of help is to speak (or even email so you have written proof) with the person who is in charge of filling these vacancies.

It just seems silly that they post a vacancy that thousands probably applied too, over 650 are 'successful' and there are only 37 vacancies as of the moment. So what about the people who are still awaiting a job who applied before us? What about us when they relist the vacancy and have another batch of 'successful' applicants?
    Hi Emma
Once the checks are done, then you will be put on a waiting/merit list,
the people who applied before you will be posted first, and any new vacancies advertised, will be placed after your batch, this is how it was explained to me anyway! once all checks are completed, the IRC is passed on to the district office who allocates positions on number on the list & preferred area, hope this makes sense! :D

Yes it does make sense, thank you.

That's what I was told. However, some people have said that they are already on a waiting list and the pre-recruitment checks are still taking place. Yet when I called, I was told there was not one as of yet. x
  • Thank You Whiskyman,Emmma and Shy.
Did use the email found on this thread but ofcourse did not give my address details.
  • I spoke to DWP today and this guy assured me that usually there is a list but for this particular IRC they will be looking to post as soon as possible. He did mention that 637 candidates have been successful.
The first batch should hear about their posting in December. So I guess the ones that scored well in the interviews would be tyhe first to be posted. He did mention that its always the location that matters.

    Call them.

They are more than happy to give you information about your CRB.

    Thank You.
I guess that is my next option.Do not want to be left hanging!!
  • My latest news is DWP recieved my completed CRB back on 23rd November, and it has now been mailed on to me.

They have also carried out the employment checks etc, so all OK.

Details have been passed to the hiring manager/department to contact me about start date etc, was told likely to be December.

    Fingers crossed!
