I used an example such as maximising sales profit and that said I try to be flexible and look for alternatives that work and offer the same or a better solution for the customer. MSE is a great example, teaching people to do things in a different way with the same or a much better result (saving money or getting extras). I also mentioned how I self taught myself to do things to expand my knowledge within the role and improve my own skills. Therefore being able to pass my knowledge on to the team.

Hiya thanks a lot! i have written my answer now iv done it a bit different to you but too late to change now lol iv just written how in my different jobs i have gained capability to do different things through different experiences and explained each one.:S

I'm still yet to find out. I've been ringing once or twice every couple of days and still no answer. Just rings and rings or I get an engaged tone. I have a free day tomorrow, though, so I'm going to try many, many times until someone picks up the phone so I can find out what's going on. If I get any information, I will pass it on here, of course

As for the other job, I got an e-mail with the usual stuff in it, basically just confirming the date and time, what I need to bring, etc. It's totally bizarre that you haven't heard anything. Surely a mistake, because aren't they meant to get in touch with you regardless? Also, it's weird that you can hear off one job and not the other... but you know what they can be like, I'd give them a call and see what the say. I'll PM you the name and number of the guy who e-mailed me about the job, he should know.

I have an interview next week for an EO role and am wondering if anyone could provide examples of the competency questions they are likely to ask?

The four competencies are

-Delivering a professional service
-Delivering a customer focused service
-Managing people & performance
-Building capability
-Leading

Can i ask what IRC you on? You took them on 14th SEPT 09? Where was the tests and interview?

They will write a letter to you - cant tell you how long all depends on how many people came for tests etc

I believe it is IRC62504 Executive Officer. The tests & Interview took place w/c 14/09/09 @ Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands - why?

Now I am confused. I have just received a Compliments Slip from the DWP and the passport sized photo I had to take when I when I went for the tests in the post today. Does that mean that I haven't been successful in my application or do they just send the photo back once they have done what they need with the files?
