Job Interview with DWP

Hi Jamie.
I also got the same phone call this morning concerning the BDC job in Chester.
so fingers crossed.
Well done for Sunday, I didn't call because of all this mess thats going on and I actually thought there was no point.
Anyway sounds like they are starting to move things now, What position did you apply for at the Birkenhead BDC? and was it full or part-time?

I applied for the AO position, full time and an eighteen month contract (I think). Which position did you apply for?

Just glad to hear the ball is rolling on both vacancies now. Hopefully we won't have too much of a wait, as things have moved along pretty quickly so far.

Thank you for the well wishes,
I applied for an AO position but part-time (20 hours. 4pm till 8pm mon -fri).
So hopefully we will both hear something positive soon. Just in time for Christmas. Would you be working at Birkenhead Jobcentre or Chester BDC???

Just wondering if anyone can help me out - I have an EO interview coming up next week in London, and the 5 competencies are:

Delivering a Professional Service (Level 2)
Delivering a Customer-Focused Service (Level 2)
Analysing, Improving and Changing (Level 2)
Building Capability (Level 2)
Leading (Level 2)

I have examples for Delivering a Customer-Focused Service, Building Capability and Delivering a Professional Service. I'm just wondering if anyone can help clarify a relevant situation in regards to:

Analysing,Improving and Changing
Leading

I've lead a football team in the past, but I don't think that will be relevant in this case. Also, I'm not at all sure regarding Analysing,Improving and Changing. I don't want examples, for these competencies are about looking at your own past experience, but I am asking that people give me hints so I can identify relevant situations that I can use in my life.

Also, in the interview, are questions asked just in relation to the competencies, or are other questions asked like: "What is your greatest weakness?", "Why do you want to work here?" etc?

Even if it wasn't for the freeze it is highly unlikely you would hear that quickly - I would say an average of 6 to 8 weeks from success letter to a call.

Anyone else get a phone call for IRC62668 (Executive Officer, London) earlier today stating that they made a mistake in relation to the competencies, and that one of the five shouldn't be "Analysing, Improving and Changing", but rather "Managing People and Performance"?

Hello, I too attended an interview at the brentwood hotel for irc 61505. My letter saying I passed the interview is dated 1st September. I rang dwp and was told recruitment checks take up to 20 days. Have tried ringing dwp since but engaged or no answer. It would appear from the forum on here that the same thing is happening all over the country. Where was you hoping to work?
