I got a call on wednesday for IRC61298 and i start on the 28th september! i'm going to be based in west london.

i'm quite suprised in how quickly dwp have got back to me, from reading this thread i assumed they would take a while.

I Just want to say thanks to everyone on this thread your comments have helped me a lot and Good Luck to all of you!

Wow, thats two people now that have got the call re: 61298. Can I please get some more details, like your location, where in West London have you been placed..date of interview, date of success letter, date Disclosure Scotland received..Thanks. I hope I hear soon.

I'm not in work today but from memory the only Benefit Delivery Centres are in Balham, Ilford and Stratford, hope that helps. I've been to the Stratford one for a meeting - its nice!

Thanks, I was already aware that these are the only Benefit Delivery Centres in London, it's not so important but I just thiunk that I'm better suited to back office.
  • Hi,

my interview was on the 7th August in Hammersmith and i got my success letter on the last week of august it was dated the 26th august on the letter and i got my CRB on the 5th september.

i will be based in the hounslow jcp.. I'm sure yours is on the way probably the jcp you will be working at are taking their time in contacting you.. make sure you check your emails regularly because i have heard they can contact you by email sometimes and they ask you to call them back.

    hope this helps

Thanks it does help, my success letter was also dated 26th August, I'm in Central London. Hope 61298 is not affected by this apparent recruitment freeze, if your call is anything to go by then it isn't!

No i don't think 61298 is affected by the recruitment freeze.. they need people really badly.. I too wouldn't mind working in the benefit delivery side but I don't think they do that at the jcp where i will be working..

just be patient ..i think by next week you will get a call..so don't worry to much about it! i just think the jcp you will be working at are being lazy and taking their time in contacting you..

Just make the most of the next few weeks and enjoy yourself cos you might get a call to start on the 28th sept or the week after..

I rang yesterday and the woman told me all my checks were clear and it had been passed to the business area or whatever it's called.
Do you think it'll be affected by the recruitment freeze if it's already been passed over?

OH had a phone call about IRC62644 or IRC62645 (not sure which as he applied for both and they didn't say which one it was for!) to say about an interview on 29th Sept. They said 'Don't bother writing details down, we'll email you along with some test stuff for testing stage' - fortunately I wrote it down as they haven't emailed him even after double checking his email address!

Anyone know a number that you can ring when you are in the pre-interview stages?

    TIA

Where does the time go?

I think it's 62644 - I got the same call, also for 29th of September. Halliwell Jones Stadium? And don't worry about not receiving an e-mail yet. It takes a couple of days. I got mine two days after the call.

Yep thats it. Aw fab thanks - it was Thursday they called him so hopefully he gets it Monday. His mum works for DWP and has sent him some of the test stuff she had to do just in case he didn't receive it.

Was 62644 the EO one?

I think DWP have messed up the reference codes somewhere along the way, because I applied for the AO position, reference 62644, yet the automated e-mail I then received to let me know they'd got my application had the reference code 62645 in the title
