I just looked online and I all of the slots for the 21st are available, not hacking required!
I have NO intention of getting my Christmas grocery shopping online, I'm sticking to local shops with friendly service. It's only one day out of an entire year and if we haven't got it, TOUGH, we don't have it. It's not going to spoil our day.0 -
The reason the 21st is mostly available is because people obviously want to get deliveries with dates that will last over Christmas on fresh food. It will be 22nd and 23rd that people want. If I change the url, all of 23rd is gone and some of 22nd thats what its been like for a while now because Tesco sent selected people emails to get early booking. I thought I read earlier in this thread that one person had not shopped with tesco for 6 months but she still got an early booking email from them as priority customer. If it was done fairly all around I wouldnt be complaining but its not, if they did what they usually do and go up day by day thats fine but they havent been doing. It should be showing 22nd now but its still showing 21stThanx

I have ordered my Christmas shop through Asda. Booked for the 22nd. Had enough of Tesco so am not likely to be going back. Not that I think they really care whether they have my custom or not! Seems like they are making so much money now that they have forgotten where it comes from.0

Because they are greedy, lying b******* who have repeatedly told us:
a. that there is no priority booking
b. that slots up to and including 23rd would only be available at midnight on 30th
c. that there would be free slots available up to and including the 23rd at midnight on 30th
As the people who are getting the priority booking are people who don't usually shop at Tesco's it obviously has nothing to do with rewarding loyalty and everything to do with shafting your existing customer base in an attempt to win back customers you've already p'd off so much that they moved to a different supplier some time ago.
I completely agree that it's definitely nothing to do with rewarding loyal customers. I reckon I have shopped at Tesco a handful of times in the last 18 months (having defected to Asda in protest some time ago) yet I got an email offering 250 extra clubcard points for online grocery order before 23/12/09 and the email claimed it was a Christmas gift for being a frequent shopper which is completely incorrect.
They are not interested in the regular customers, they figure that they are too lazy to go elsewhere so there's no need to reward them (or in the case of the Christmas delivery slots simply make life a little easier for the people who have supported their online delivery service all year). There is something fundamentaly wrong with the ethics of a company which hands out Christmas delivery slots to new customers and blatantly disregards those who have used them week in, week out.0 -
Placed an order for Christmas which like others got cancelled. I've responded by cancelling my £120 grocery order due for delivery tomorrow and placing it on asda instead and then e-mailing tesco to tell them what I've done and why0

Booked on Sainsburys now - after using tesco all year..... need i say more?0

I love Sainsburys delivery - easier than Tesco and seem to have much better customer service skills. Also, contrary to my belief a year ago, not much more expensive and has a better basics range....0

Only thing about Sainsbury's that's worse than Tesco is altering your order. For an evening delivery I can alter my order at Tesco on that morning but sainsbury's lock your order the night before.... (i'm always forgetting stuff).
On the Tesco front I can still get every single delivery slot for the week leading to the 21st not 1 has been locked down.0 -
Well, I can book Christmas week now but I'm not doing it because they want SIX FLIPPING QUID!! and no codes are working for me and haven't worked for months now
I'm going to take my chances battling through the crowds in Sainsburys, I'll take my 12 year old daughter to watch the trolley for me while I do the aisles
So Mr T, I have spent thousands of pounds with you this year and would have happily spent my £200 christmas shop with you but you can take your SIX FLIPPING QUID and lack of vouchers, and stick it where the sun don't shine.
ho ho ho :santa2:0 -
