So it's not a war crime, but please don't complain when you get caught - and of course, like most of these low level frauds, you are making it more difficult for people who stick to the rules - all the Tesco staff who are spending time cancelling your bookings are not able to work on bona fide bookings. The slots become available day by day, so tomorrow morning you will be able to book deliveries on Monday 21st.
You know I guess its down to desperate measures really I just know I cannot go to store to get it myself and I felt I had to give it a shot. I didn't like doing it but I know the alternative to me made it worth risking it.
And the slots might be supposed to be becoming available day by day but they arent, they have halted them until they want to let them out and when they do they will go within minutes so this is why I tried what had been suggested earlier in this thread. I keep checking and its still the same and I hope one time when I do check again there will still be some left as they wont be there long. So if you think any will be left tomorrow morning if they go on later tonight don't be surprised if they arent anyThanx

I have no sympathy with Tescos for the fact that staff are having to spend time ringing people up and cancelling slots. If they treated all their customers with equal respect - and that is what it comes down to at the end of the day - then people wouldn't feel the need to try any way possible to get the slot they need.
I am completely astonished that Tescos are doing this again. Last year I got into a total lather about it and moaned and groaned (I even emailed Terry Leahy), but this year, frankly, I just haven't got the energy.
I think Tescos are completely out of order. It was bad PR for them last year, and it isn't looking any better this year. But the reality is that people have continued to shop with them over the year, they are still raking it in. They continue to disregard their customers, and overlook the fact that they are providing a valuable service to many people, including those who, for whatever reason, are not able to go shopping in the supermarket.
If the priority treatment was given for people with disabilities or the elderly then I don't think we'd have a problem with it at all. It's making your big spenders the priority which grates and that appears to be what has happened here. I know that companies can do what they like - that is their prerogative. They are answerable to their shareholders and they have to make a profit. But as customers, we too can do what we like. If there is a choice, perhaps we should consider shopping elsewhere if we don't like a company's policies.
As last year, I haven't been offered a priority customer slot, and as last year, I shall be doing my shopping elsewhere.0 -

Because they are greedy, lying b******* who have repeatedly told us:
a. that there is no priority booking
b. that slots up to and including 23rd would only be available at midnight on 30th
c. that there would be free slots available up to and including the 23rd at midnight on 30th
As the people who are getting the priority booking are people who don't usually shop at Tesco's it obviously has nothing to do with rewarding loyalty and everything to do with shafting your existing customer base in an attempt to win back customers you've already p'd off so much that they moved to a different supplier some time ago.Eat food. I agree daska i moved away from tesco to asda but used to spend a fortune with them, I booked my slot 2 days ago with the url on here and it's not cancelled as yetIT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0

Well, Last night I went on and booked another 'URL' slot and got the answer phone message call for one I booked on the 23rd but she never said anything about the one I booked for the 22nd and its still showing on my account whereas the others have all been deleted off.
I don't think it has anything to do with 'spends' as I order every single week at least £100 of shopping & I use tesco direct quite a lot too.0 -

I won't go over ground that has already been covered but firstly, I wouldn't call it "hacking". Tesco's policy is that slots are released 3 weeks in advance, with the whole week released at once (Sunday - Sunday), at the moment week 3 is christmas week so should be available as normal and, in fact, it is available as normal but only to certain people who Tesco want to have these slots - loyal customers and the housebound are not included in this select group. They are not following the procedure they use at all other times of the year. They are cancelling orders that (3 weeks in advance) would never usually be cancelled - they are giving themselves the hard work ! The whole point is that these slots are publicly available, if they weren't Tesco would not be cancelling them so why not just remove the address or make it unavailable (i.e the one with the URL for week 3)? Because, every other week of the year - that is how you book for the third week, they are changing their own normal procedure for one week but without notifying us! How difficult would it be to place a note on Tesco's website informing shoppers of the protocol of the special circumstances for Christmas deliveries? Not at all! So why aren't they doing it? Because they would have to admit publicly that there are "priority customers" who are allowed to queue jump, even if they only get one delivery a year. And also, I WAS PHONED AND TOLD THAT THE SLOTS FOR ALL CHRISTMAS WEEK AND MY SLOT FOR THE 22ND WOULD BE AVAILABLE AT MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT, SO WERE MANY OTHERS! AND TESCO LIED! That is one of the things I am most furious about hence the capitalisation lol! I understand your point, Chris, but Tesco are being so dishonest with us, I wouldn't be putting myself through this if we didn't have 5 disabled people at home but I don't think it is fair that other people are being allowed to queue jump and we are not getting any chance of a slot because the "priority customers" will have taken them before.0 -
I have booked delivery slots for FREE :j deliveries from Waitrose to friends and family members who are visiting for Xmas. They will accept the deliveries, pack them in their own cars, catch a ferry, drive 100+ miles, and deliver them to my fridge door :A and coordinating all this is less difficult than booking a delivery from the Tesco that's 3 miles down the road

I understood that Tesco policy all year is to release slots 3 weeks in advance, day by day. If so, this is exactly what is happening this Christmas too - slots for Sun 20th were available yesterday and today there is a full choice of slots for Mon 21st...0

Sorry Chris, I think you're flogging a dead horse here - the damage has been done unfortunately
As for Sainsburys............what a pleasant experience - no staying up late, booked the time and date I wanted 2 hours ago, the slot has been kept open for 3 hours for me to do my order, and because I've spent over £100 my delivery is free.
BEAT THAT TESCO - oh yeah, I forgot, YOU CAN'T! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
