I've just looked at ASDA and they still have every date upto the 21st free. I guess later tonight they will load 22nd etc. With Asda can I just book a slot with some small item in and then go back and change my order to add all my shopping like I can with Tesco? (never done asda before)
Thanks!0 -
I have just logged into Tescos and my delivery slot go up the 27th. Most of them are gone now though....
The only free gift I got for booking Xmas delivery was an extra 250 points, big deal!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -

Why complain, sounds like you've got a much better deal than most people with a wider choice of dates AND free points? That's not bad; enjoy it!0 -
Have lost the will to live with Tesco and their silly games, have more important things to do than play their waiting, "will they - won't they allow me to place an order" game.
Just found out that Waitrose now deliver to my village:j so ordered, booked and awaiting delivery on 22nd December.
No fuss, no games, just good customer service........and their delivery is free on orders over £50.:TDebt Free Wannabe!!!

Like most people on here I sat up last night to book a Christmas delivery only to find that I could only book up to the 20th. We spend a fortune at Tesco in our house so I am disgusted that they are behaving in this manner. I then changed the URL and found that 22nd and 23rd are both fully booked already. I've got a £200 delivery coming tomorrow - how much do you have to spend for them to honour you with a delivery slot?
Again Customer Services assured me that I would be able to book up to the 23rd at 00.01 this morning. Sadly I live offshore and we don't have anyone else that delivers so we can't go elsewhere. I've got a housefull all over Christmas including my elderly parents and I'm working right up until Christmas Eve.
Anyone know of an email address for Customer Services so that I can at least register my disgust?0 -
Apparently to be a prority customer you have to spend somewhere over £100 per week on groceries (he told me £100 was my average spend and was not enough to qualify) as I pointed out to him we also buy all our petrol and various insurances from tesco but...........these don't count allegedly!!!!
They're telling you total BS. I got a priority email and I only shop at Tesco about once a month and spend under £100 when I do.
The cynic in me says they're telling people that in order to encourage them to spend more in the future to become a 'priority customer'.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

I e-mailed Tesco at 12.30 last night explaining the situation of having a mainly disabled household and me myself having a heart condition I had stayed up until midnight last night to ensure we got a slot for the 22nd only to find, despite being phoned and told my previous order had been cancelled and the slot would be available on the 30th, that only up until the 20th was available. I changed the URL and got the 22nd but was fully aware there was a chance my order might be cancelled yet again. And that is why I e-mailed expressing my dismay at the fact that after seven years of weekly deliveries without fail, two cars filled with petrol and another house's shopping on our clubcard each week (mum, dad, daughter, gran) as well as the weekly delivery we are not "priority customers" and I think it is particularly cruel at this time of year when they know there are people who are not able to physically get out and do the shopping and rely on the delivery. I asked them please to not let me down and appreciate that despite having a bad day healthwise I stayed up to put long order through for a SECOND time thanks to their cancellation and I will not be doing it a third time, tesco do have rivals who appear to treat their customers better and if they cancel again then they will lose our loyal custom. I am hoping that they don't let me down again.
Kazzad - e-mail I used was online@tesco.co.uk0 -
Looked at Saisburys - only up to 21st, and ocado £9.99 delivery OMG!!!0

Many thanks for the address - I have just emailed. The way Tesco are behaving at present with these slots seems as though we are having to ask for the privilege of spending our money with them. I think they have got so big that they no longer have to try to win customers so genuinely no longer care about providing a good service.0

I spoke to someone at tescos this morning who told me that all there systems are down and she is going to call me when they are back up again to book christmas dates. I think it is just a technical fault, hopefully will be sorted out soon.0
