quick grab slots while you can tesco christmas home delivery select tesco customers?

well it had to come.............
yep I've had the cancellation message on my answerphone and politely told I can book the slots after midnight on the 30th!

of course I went online and checked the delivery slots and there is now only one left for the 23rd so very slim chance of me getting it!!

I will not be staying up and I will ot be doing an online shop from Tesco for Christmas now!!!

Ditto, I've just booked a slot at Waitrose on 23rd and have also got a £10 off £75 code so that will do me!

My waitrose have got available slots as well. I'm having trouble negotiating the site at the moment though! Do they sell fresh turkeys?

I've found them now. Would probably be easier if I didn't have my six month old sitting on my lap- think I'll do it later.

If the early released slots are now fully booked in most areas....why inform people to book on the 30th?

Does anyone know if additional slots will become available/be released on the 30th?

Yes they do.........well according to my delivery driver this morning, he did also say to book as early as poss as last year some people went without their turkey as they had sold out, I now wonder if it's worth the worry I think I will go to a 24hr supermarket at 2am to do my shopping instead.

Why on earth are they being so b****y thick?? i cant understand but it will be Asda or Sainsburys for me this year!

can any one tell me how soon they cancel.i booked up on wednesday for the 23rd and i havent had a phone call and my order is still showing up.

if they cancel i will be off to asda and sainsburys.

This sort of thing annoys me intensely 'cos they know well in advance exactly how many turkeys/geese/ducks etc they need to fulfill the dotcom orders so why on earth don't they make sure they keep those to one side in the back instead of putting everything out on the shop floor :mad:

I'm done with Tesco, I won't be using them again after this fiasco. I'll stick to Aldi/Waitrose from now on! :rolleyes:

Yep me too and I have contacted the local paper. Unbelievable contempt for the customer - not to mention downright lies that slots are available. Can someone tell me where I can find the Waitrose code pls? Many thanks
