I think Tesco's have really done wrong this time and upset lots of customers and there doesn't seem to be any logic to how they've selected customers to receive early booking availability. I certainly won't be shopping with them again after being made to feel a non-wanted customer. They obviously don't want my business.....0

Just spoken to a Grant at customer services. He asked for the order confirmation to be forwarded and fingers crossed he is trying to get the slot reallocated:j0

Its true you shouldnt have to make a fuss. I just thought i'd chance a call cos when they cancelled i was too busy to argue so phoned and spoke to a manager who had no idea how a booking could be made (erm i wont tell;) ) and said he'd try to sort it. Asda here you couldnt trust for a chrismas order as everything is normally unavailable and i dont fancy a supermarket at xmas.0 -

I used the URL cheat and got cancelled. That's absolutely fair enough. Now to find this priority booking nonsense going on has made me so cross. I shop with them every week - never under £100. If I can't get a decent slot at 1 minute past 12 on Nov 30th, I will go to Waitrose/Asda/Sainsbury's/Morrisons who are all as convenient. I will do that for the rest of the year as well and write to Terry Deary to tell him why.0

I have had my slot cancelled. I had a really garbled message on my machine this morning while I was out and I have phoned them (twice - the second time to 'escalate' the complaint!). I was told that I may not have been offered priority booking because I had opted out of marketing information when I signed up for Clubcard. Does this apply to anyone else?
I pointed out that I didn't want marketing rubbish, I wanted a Christmas delivery but they are not budging.
I am going to write to tell them what a completely useless policy this is, and I also told them to look online if they wanted to see just how much bad feeling has been generated. I also peeped online using the url cheat and there are no slots left for 23rd at all which is when I wanted my delivery. In any case, I am not spending another penny of my hard earned cash with Tesco unless I get a personal apology and a recognition from them that they can't treat customers like dirt. Sainsburys here I come!
One thing which struck me incidentally was that the people at the call centre sympathised with my position but they are stuck with a stupid policy. As one supervisor told me, "They won't be doing this again next year!"0 -
