NEW - pay off £20,000 (ish) by Christmas 2009

With my Cahoot debacle finally sorted this morning, I've managed to reduce my debt by a miserable £353.35 once all the interest has been added on. Leaving me with £8,875.74 to go in 2009. I must confess, its just 2 minimum payments and 1 loan payment. Hopefully I'll do better in January!
Best of luck to you all for 2009 and have a nice cheap new years eve tonight!

I forgot a payment! So dense what it is is my baclays account been over its od limit due to them keeping adding charges but only income I currently have coming in is child benefit £75 which keeps them happy.
Because I not touched cb money 4got about it as payment so make my dec total £210! Bad news is the montghly chzrges mean i get now where as i pay then they charge similar ammount howver my priority is getting od within its limit and stocking to regular repayments as have another bankaccount wih no overdraft and paypal top up card which helps me manage my money much better!
Ideally jan is
pay off overdue phonebill
pay off additions
pay off ususal payment of loan
pay double min payment on bacalaycard
and get my od back within limit to stop charges
pay off ebay charges.
I have aplan it can be done!

I returned from visiting my parents for Xmas to find my computer has finally given up the ghost, so I'm reduced to an hour's internet a day at the library until I can sort something out. I've got so much time on my hands I actually did some housework!
This month I've made monthly payments, and finally managed to pay off a payday loan so my total for December is £1254.51. Now just have to stop myself taking it out again to buy a computer!
Well done to everyone so far, and happy new year.

Sticking at 614.17 paid off. Annoyingly big payments from christmas eve are still not showing but at least that makes for a good Jan.

Hey everyone,
Well i havent been able to pay anymore, but i have been able to sort all of my debt out and am going to be seeing how i can do on the free bingo
Also have a couple of christmas prezzies to list on ebay so anything i make will go straight into savings for extra payments.

Have checked my balances and I've paid of 260.40 off one of my cards and 1192.52 off my loans. I'm including my loans in this challenge even though they don't appear in my total debt yet. I can't overpay there until I've cleared the credit cards, they are my priority. So that means a total of 1452.92 today!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Hi Hypno - please could you up my challenge to £24K? Have just recalculated my debt to include expenses (as am including those payments here) and it is currently standing at £19K - that is what I want to clear by next Christmas!
