NEW - pay off £20,000 (ish) by Christmas 2009

had £14.74 left in my bank and it's pay day tommorrow, I would usually just leave it in there but have decided to pay it off the A&L card - well £14.70 of it anyway! have left 4p in there.. :rotfl:

so balance of A&L is now £387.30. Ive also joined the payment a day challenge so will be chipping at it bit by bit everyday and anything extra I make from Mystery Shopping, Ironing etc will also get thrown at it.

£25 out today min payment on one of the CCs..not paid much this month as going on holiday on 6th jan but will start making big overpayments when we get back.

Final cc payment came out my account this morning for December so my total for the month is £266.60 of which £109.07 is overpayment. As it was December I am chuffed with that.
Onto some serious moneysaving and money making in January.:j

morning all!!! well, a slightly truncated post yesterday as a result of a phone call half way through telling me my pony had been let out his field by some drunken oicks!!!! :eek: in norfolk!!! :eek: 2 1/2 HOURS DRIVE AWAY!!!! so emergency leave was taken, shot over to norfolk and have managed as a result of him getting out to finally sell him, i'm only taking a very very small amount of money for him but may well be able to add to the overpayment totals later on today, just need to do a few accounts first to see.

But anyway. My total now stands at £676 for december, along with the fact I have finally managed to pay off that dratted payday loan at £193.93 () so although that wasn't included in my debt totals it was a debt and i have paid it so will add that to the total too. (if ok?) so december total = £869.93!!!!! yeehaa!!

yes happy new year everyone, can't wait for 2009 to get those totals down, plus I'll be able to say, we're going to be debt free next year!!!!

Morning everyone...

I haven't posted for a while..but I have had a re-think about how I'm going to do this challenge.
I'm planning to overpay the mortgage this year and live on less. They were all going to be in seperate pots but I've decided I'm going to work on one thing at a time, so I've put mortgage overpayments etc in my pot for this challenge and then when I've managed this I'll do the other stuff...

Does that make sense to anyone but me???

I'll be back at it properly from next week...

Another min payment has just snuck through for december making my final total £5154. Oh that I could continue like that but alas will not happen! But a good way to start the new year!
