ARGHHHH
Despite my ensuring that the money was ready for them, Cahoot have messed up my direct debit and not taken the money for my loan. I've now had a nasty email from them saying I must call their collections department.
Why do I get the feeling I'll be spending most of tomorrow calling them trying to get this sorted out? I'm trying so hard to pay off my debts and keep an excellent credit rating so that I can buy a house, it's making me cry now, I'm so upset.

Started the £5.00 a week payments to tax credits today as they overpaid me a few years ago, its only just come to their attention???
At this rate it will take me 2 years to pay off as its over £500, i am not going to be waiting that long thoughWill just let the weekly DD continue intil its their turn to get the kitty.
Probably my last payment for this year so roll on 2009

panda - the idea is not to mess up my hardworkedon spreadsheet with minus figures.........don't do it again!
batfink, sorry you have got a problem with cahoot - I agree, most annoying (understatement of the year!) when you are working really hard to keep a clean sheet.

Hi All!
Could I join in? But for £6.5k? Got baby on the way so things are going to be tight this year but if I can manage the £6.5k this year our debts will be on their way to going sub-£10k!
Good Luck all xxxSealed Pot:member 254

Just popping in...had hoped to pay off an extrs 52 but with more beads to but (to sell) petrol etc it would be o/d so no point! If I make any more it will go off regardless!
For people feeling like they dont pay much compared to others remember all our circumstances are different. Ie for me I have a good wage but its just me so no second income to assist in larger payments plus we are all responsible for us - not others so feel good about what YOU pay of YOUR debt totals and dont compare yourself to others -I have done it in the past and concluded that it was pointles. Just do the best you can and be proud that youve paid any off in December! No mean feat - esp with the economic climate as it is (and if I hear the b**** words credit crunch again I'll scweam and scweam until I'm thick like custard!!)...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! £179.61 payment towards my car loan. Pay day tomorrow, will check my bank account again this evening and whatever is left in it will be paid towards my A&L CC, think there'll only be a tenner in there but it all helps!Jan GC £0/£2000

Just paid a friend £200 which I owed them, so brings my December total to £1095.51. Only £13,904.49 to go in order to reach my £15k target. I'm loving how motivating being part of a challenge is and am seriously considering joining some more. Any suggestions of good challenges to join would be very welcome! Happy New Year everyone!Paid off £16,715/£16,550 by Christmas 2013Now to pay off all remaining debts by Christmas 2014Total to pay #041 £7,086.97/£16,500Only £9,413.03 to go :eek:0

December total £4880.03 - which is mainly paying off expenses which have come in - but that at least prevents the rest of the debt increasing. It certainly won't go on like that: that includes two work trips OH has had to North America in the past 2 months!
Am aiming though at actually paying off at least £1300 from now on.0
