re the union - think of it as job insurance - went through reduandcy this tyime last year, and was so glad I had it - to my mind it should be, if available, be viewed as having buildings insurance for your house...possibly a little of an over reaction, but its nice to have that protectionNo longer an accidental landlord, still a wannabe millionaire:beer:

Never had to use them and in all honesty wonder if they have much sway but I'm in mine for peace of mind and in case of emergency! I think you get more benefits for your money than I do too.
Slighty mixed message above but belong to a union because on balance, I think it is better to.0 -
As you may know I help care for an elderly housebound neighbour, he has just got a new washing machine from Curry's and paid extra for it to be installed. Obviously Curry's were useless and haven't installed it leaving him with a machine he cant use and clothes he cant wash. Fortunately I have sorted it all out this morning for him and want to write to Curry's chief executive to let him know what I think of their service. Fuming.
And another thing- some wan3er slipped me a dodgy £20 note on Tuesday night when I was working. I can feel my blood pressure rising, I hope ccs call again today, I am in the right frame of mind to have a "lengthy" chat with them and point out the error of their ways. (I feel better already)0 -

Debitas: Sorry

Everything is going ok at the moment, I am not getting any more debt hassles , I am back on the diet, have previously failed to mention that I was so depressed thru March I was getting thru fast food and chocolate everyday and had regained all the weight I had lost to the extent that my "big" trousers got tight- have been back on the diet for 15 days now and seeing results all ready although I know that this is going to be very difficult.
I have to admit that I have not been opening mail, not because there is anything wrong, I just don't want anything to upset my frame of mind at the moment. I have been getting regular mail from future mortgages for the last 4 or 5 months and I have not opened any of it as I know that it is getting paid. This is one of those "carol vorderman" loans that I took out about 5 years ago before I had heard of things like payplan (how I wish....). Anyway today I had another letter from them in a different style envelope so I plucked up courage (to ruin my day) and opened it....
All it was was the annual statement( I thought they were coming to reposess), so I got all the other unopened letters from them and all they were was informing me that my payments were going down due to the interest rate changes. So at the begging of the year I was paying £228.78 I am now currently paying £171.42, so I am better of by £56.36 per month, and the moral of this tale is..........0 -
Thats Good news on both fronts so now the weathers hotter you can have lots of salads , walks and work in the sun ..........happy days

Hi Jim, I've been having a clunky rubbishy head on lately and also fell off the diet wagon. Trying to redeem myself but finding it hard to draw a line under too many fun size chocolate bars
and start again. Hamster's right though, sunshine makes it all seem better. Glad you opened your mail - some timely good news!
