A friend has recently lent me 24 on dvd as I said I had never seen it and it can't be that good. OMG, I haven't seen daylight for a week ! I am up to series 4 now and can not get over how utterly brilliant this program is, an absolute roller-coaster of a ride to watch and every episode takes your breath away.
You may recall me mentioning the problems my neighbour was having with his tv, well he got so fed up that he has got a new one and given me his old one so I now have a 27" lcd in the bedroom so I can now watch Jack Bauer with out getting up. This could be turning into a good year....0 -

I have been offered a settlement figure from the Nationwide ( I haven't asked, and nor do I have the funds)0
-
I got one of these to settle my Barclays overdraft that was sold onto Wescot... I didnt take it because of circumstances at the time - but I would have done otherwise - what are you going to do??
Hope All is well WorriedJim!0 -
I have checked my account and I have built up some money, unfortunately its for my maintenance charge, however checking my bank statement I have noticed SHOPPERDISCOUNTS.CO.UK 10.00- haven't a clue what this is and just googled it -http://www.shopperdiscountscs.co.uk/. I have just called the contact number and apparently when I purchased some contact lenses online in November I signed up to pay £10 pm for online discounts- I didn't. Played merry hell and they have refunded £30 for me- still £50 out of pocket. Words cannot describe how angry I am.0

I am tempted. and could do it beginning of June, will be about £450 and will really hurt me for the summer and may result in shortages elsewhere, do you think if I am not able to do it that in the future I still can, or would they send me a letter in 3 months saying "good news we'll take 40%" ?
I am like a bus- nothing for ages then 6 posts in 2 days, don't say I don't look after you all !0 -
right- I have just had a purge through all my unopened post, there is good news and bad. First the good.
ltsb credit card have stopped charging me interest and taking minimum payments from my bank account they last took £36 in march and are receiving £7.40 via payplan at the moment with no further hassles.
I was originally on my own negotiated repayment plan with mbna and they advised that if I broke this they would start charging me interest again as it had been frozen, well I broke it and since Jan they have been receiving a lot less but haven't charged me interest so must be ok with payplan.
As you can see from the offer letter in post 516 nationwide are ticking over nicely and desperate for me to settle.
The bad news-
I mentioned back in the beginning of March that I had bought my maintenance charge up to date by paying £550 which was very late, well its due again last month and I have just written the check to pay it so I am totally up to date and I have discovered March's chq was returned as I was £49 short on my available balance. This is all my own fault for still not opening letters or checking my bank account, the last time I logged on before today was in January. I only have myself to blame- I will never learn and I am destined to never sort myself out. Why oh why didn't I check a statement . I am hanging my head in shame again.0 -
Beating yourself up won't help Jim, so give yourself a break and vow to face the evil mail next time! Perhaps you could have a revised look at your figures or speak to the people who manage the maintenance payments? What a pain when things were going so smoothly.
Hope you manage to come up with a cunning plan :cool:0
