I have managed to pretty much get up to date with my Gas and Electric through British Gas. At the end of the Winter I now owe -£ 21.39 in debit for elec
£ 73.10 in debit for gas.
Elec is down from nearly £200 and Gas had crept up as I was only paying £18 pm by dd when now I am paying £45 for each. Obviously my consumption has dropped a lot now and my actual usage for gas last week was £2.17 but I will keep the dd high to build up a little reserve over the summer so come winter I will not be paranoid about having the heating on. Wow, the exciting life I lead......0 -
It almost sounds as though they are trying to fudge their books - you have arrears on the account which means this will show up as bad debt on their books. They are saying that although you are in arrears and are still required to pay this, they will not enforce their contractural rights for these arrears, but may for any further arrears. This should mean that they will not default you for the current arrears or add charges, but will for any future arrears.
It may be that they have said in the T&C that they WILL enforce their rights, but are now altering that to they MAY.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

From reading the last paragraph I think we got one or two like that , I think (could be well wrong ) that they have to cover themselves when they have an agreement of a replayment plan by law and change the terms & conditions ,,,,
it then allows them to recieve the lower amount and your statement wont show as in arrears (which is a good thing) , why not ring them just to checkMember of change Pip's name back to PIP club

Oi, Jim
You OK? Just MIA?
Did you get the visit?
I never did get a visit or any other contact, I think that they were just having one last go at putting the frightners on me. Havent had any phone calls for a long time, in fact, dare I say it, life has some degree of normality now- I'm amazed that I am in this position after the last six months and I can see a point in the near future where I may have a small amount of disposable income at the end of the month, maybe by mid summer.0 -

Ah, disposable.... Bet it sounds almost wasteful now doesn't it
Well done Jim. You've come a long way.0
