Hiya, Just wanted to say good luck for the weight loss from another 'loser'! I am currently in a vegetable soup phase - I make my own in batches sometimes - and apart from the fun of trying out new recipes I find it helps with the weight control and I feel virtuous because of the five a day.
Good luck to doodledo and everyone, too.Miggy

Miggy my Mum makes the most amazing vegtable soup. It would be no good for me though as I would have to eat all of it in one sitting it is that good.
Have made a huge chicken tikka salad fro lunch- looking forward to it already. no cravings yet and still 100% focused. Good luck everyone !
Eventually I want to change my handle to "slim jim" , or "worried but slim jim" !0 -

Nice one! Hopefully you can drop the 'worried' bit too.
I was going to suggest you ask your Mum to freeze the veg soup in single portion sizes for you, but as you live at a distance I think better not. There's nothing to stop you doing that for yourself of course!Good for the budget as well, as you can just freeze odds and ends of vegetables until you have enough, then put the whole lot through a blender once cooked, and it tastes fabulous. You could be answerable to us for only keeping one portion out of the freezer at a time...
KWYM about eating it all at once - I can never resist a second helping either.
The salad sounds scrummy. I can see you being known as 'Slim and Healthy Jim' at this rate!Miggy

Now if you are good and eat up all your nice salad, you may make yourself a nice vegetable soup tomorrow!
P.S. Want salad, want salad... this is all your fault, Jim.Miggy

Hi there,
just read the thread from the beginning and can i just say Wow, Jim you are such an inspiration! It amazes me how you're managing to overcome eveything life throws at you, kinda makes me feel guilty for wallowing in self pity, well...no more! I'm going to take a leaf out of your book, grab the bull by the horns and crack on with it!!!!
Also, I read about your newest challenge and though you might be interested in a free dieting site called sparkpeople...its originally american but has loads of english message boards and most can easily be converted into english measurements too. It helps you to track your weight and inches lost etc.
I've lost 6lbs so far and only been doing it since New Year:p
