Yep - me too - popping in to keep an eye on progress. I have to say it made me laugh - dealing with other people's debts as well. If only they were all that easy to get rid of - you could make a fortune.

I wouldn't dream of letting you pay
Everyone's welcome on the bus, after all we're all on the same journey and as I've found since September, the journeys better when you don't have to travel it alone.
I'm really pleased to read that you've had another great day. You'll soon find that once things are set up with Payplan and the first payment has gone out, that your creditors will easy of on the phone calls. Don't think I've any one for over a week now. Bet now I've said that, I'll come home tomorrow to find it's being ringing non stop and the cats have left 'cause they're fed up with the answer phone bleeping.
Hope you have another good day tomorrow xSealed Pot Challenge Member 015 - Target £50 (2015=£70; 2014=£74.40; 2013=£61.76; 2012=£82.50)

Just read the whole thread and what a difference in you from the first post. You are growing in confidence now...lol at somebody elses debt.
I'd give Abbey a call though as they seem professional(I have my mortgae with them) as far as I remember if you are changing products with them it'sonly an internal score and you're up to date on payments.
What sort of mortgage do you have?..if it's a tracker I wouldn't neccesarily change it as they are the best rates.Do you know what interest rate you are charged at the moment?...if it's the svr then you will most certainly save money with an interest only .No harm in trying though.0 -
thanks taxi73 !
it is svr, however as from 21/12/08 I will be recieving the full 1.5 % cut so that will make a big difference.0 -
hi jim. thats good about the 1.5% cut for you. speaking of the abbey, i dont know if you have any credit cards but i used to have a credit card with abbey so i just thought i would try the reclaiming charges, i got a letter yesterday saying i had £325 in charges, i have sent my reclaim straight off and apparently they should reply in 14 days! so it goes to show it all worth a try, the worse thing they can say is no

Hello everyone,
Just spent 25 mins talking with Lousie @ payplan. I am feeling a bit emotional at the moment, I don't think I've ever felt so relived, I think I might be getting control of my life back. Payplan can defintley help me and will be getting back in touch with me in few days to finalise and agree a payment structure. For everyone that has offered there help and own stories a big thank you. I will keep using this forum and maybe I'll be able to offer my own support and advice to someone else feeling desperate in the future.0 -
