Where is the cheapest place to buy it? Apparently, it's £168 delivered from Comet.
The cheapest price I can find is £157.06 at 24Electric.com.
There's a review here.
I recommend that you double-check the price just before you make your purchase at www.pricerunner.co.uk as prices of electrical equipment change almost daily.
By the way -- like your wife, I also have asthma but I can use the Miele to vacuum the entire house and feel absolutely fine afterwards -- unlike my old hoover which left me breathless and wheezing !!Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000

I'm sure that House of Fraser had the Miele Cat and Dog in the sale for about £150 or £160. Today there is a coupon in the Daily Mail for 10% off sale prices. So at worse it will be £144, if not £135.(".)0

Do I need a HEPA filter for it as well? Someone mentioned the need for extra tools, as well... are they needed?What?0 -

I've just seen a "Sebo X4 extra" cleaner, £229 in John Lewis, seen it for £200 online.
Do I need to get all the tools as well???0 -
Henry hoover's are absolutely brilliant for what they are
the Turbo Henry is amazing0 -
I have the miele cat and dog and highly reccomend it.
There are extra tools you can get, I got two turbo brush heads packaged with mine which I think some places you have to buy seperately. These are brill for lifting dog hair from loose rugs and deep pile carpets as you can decrease the suction so you dont lift the carpets but still get a deep clean.

The old upright hoovers - the metal ones - or the metal hoover juniors will probably last longer than you or I will. You just need to replace the brushes and the drive belt once in a while - jobs which you can do yourself. As a general rule, (there are exceptions) if you are faced with a metal machine and a plastic machine, buy the metal one since they are normally built to last - so why I am tapping this out on a plastic keyboard for i can't imagine.Small change can often be found under seat cushions.
