I went to WH Smiths today, i usually do not bother going in as i find some bits their a bit pricey but today i thought i'd have a look at the sale and i brought:
Simpsons Personal radio (in a duff beer shape) with a talking bottle opener (should have been £12.99) got it for £2.99 (i feel sick as i brought my dad the bottle opener on its own for christmas and paid £7 in boots)
Simpsons Homer Talking Fridge Guard (in the shame of homer) with a free fridge sticker (should have been £17.99) brought today for £4.99
Simpson's Talking Homer Key keeper (in shape of Homer) should have been £9.99 i got it for £2.99
Also as mentioned before the Christmas cards are reduced to 49p so i brought 2 packets one should have been £4.99 and one should have been £5.99 (for only 8 cards)
Seeing as i buy stuff like this every year (as i mentioned before i even spent £7 on a beer opener this Christmas) i am very happy with these0 -
I have posted this on Grabbit thread but worth posting here again. WHS have reduced all their Xmas cards, wrap etc to 49p.
If you haven't put your decorations away yet put your Xmas bargains away with them so you will 'find' them when you get the deccies out next year.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Just been to our local Tesco (Honiton). Didn't get around to having turkey at Christmas, so doing all that tomorrow. I told the children "Don't expect crackers, will you?" but there were loads, reduced to 61p for 12 (from about 4.99, I think). I suppose I should have bought some for next year, too, but I would probably forget I had bought them, buy some more and end up with a loft full.
Also tree decorations (in your less traditional colours, let's say), silver tinsel, gift tags, wine bottle bags, small gifts (mainly for girls) and a few chocolatey items, all for a few pence.0 -
Get a decent bottle of wine and 'lay it down' for someone for next xmas. This is more thoughtful than rushing out at the last minute for a bottle of cheap plonk. Get it from a year that means something to the recipient and write them some tasting notes etc.
Things like M&S mulled wine will keep, also xmas puds will keep til next year.
I buy giftbags to put presents in, so the ones i used for kids and partner are all ready to be re-used next year.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I've managed to get some great bargains in the sales so far.
Clinton's Cards have lots of Xmas Cards all on half price or less, and there getting cheaper as the month goes on, i grabbed the last three packs of kiddie style cards from my local shop last night for the kids to give out in school tomorrow.
Also went to Next and got my new Niece some lovley clothes for cheap. FYI though in some areas they have Next Clearance Shops, where all the old stock goes from nearby Next Shops to be sold off really cheap, if you have one near you go check it out, there are some really good deals there i used to buy both my childrens best clothes from there and the prices are around 50-75 % cheaper than Next RRP.

If you like the White Company's products, their boxed sets (bath products/candles etc) are all half price in the January sale (their Bath shop). I always buy these now to give as presents for next Christmas.0

Read the Boots thread on Grabbit, then get the Change One Thing leaflet and use the £5 voucher to buy items in the Daniel Ryman range (currently on BOGOF) for 'luxury' gifts e.g. means you only pay £2.25 each for the Lavender and Citrus bodywash.

Oh calley I'd love to find a shop with Christmas puddings in stock. I've not had a taste of one this year & keep having such a longing for some nice hot Christmas pud & custard, but it seems everyone has bought them up. :mad:0
