Hi,
I am a little concerned and am hoping that someone can shed some light.
About 5 weeks ago, i applied for a Flybe card and was declined, a couple of weeks later i applied for a JJB card, and havent heard anything, but to be honest just gave up.
Today i have looked at my Equifax file, and there is a "New Search" on my file which says "SYGMA BANK UK (FRAUD)"
Anyone know what this is? And why it says (Fraud)?

Yes, it seems their fraud dept have been made aware of something here, are you sure you filled in the application forms identically? If not you may end up with a CIFAS marker on your file, can you recall if you made any errors on the applications?Hi,

No, not as far as i am aware. Certainly not intentionally anyway.

Unless it's simply their 'tag' for the standard anti-money laundering unrecorded enquiry?0

Nope, they done the same to me when I had my CIFAS protective registration placed on my files, when you request this done all of your creditors including previous applications successfull or not are contacted and normally they do an unrecorded enquiry against your file to !!!!!! is going on, Sygma do their version of an ID check under the name of a sister company "Creation Finance", so their fraud dept is not happy about something, contact them asap to get this resolved before it turns in to something...or it may be nothing.YorkshireBoy wrote: »Unless it's simply their 'tag' for the standard anti-money laundering unrecorded enquiry?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? Hi Dan, exact same thing has happened to me today ... I applied for Flybe over a month ago and was rejected ... thought nothing more of it ...
Then today, noticed the same search as you was carried out ... I don't think there was anything dodgy on my app. form and the same info got me approved for an Egg card a couple of weeks ago ...

Been mostly on the Digital Spy and Facebook last few months but always check MSE for any good threads ... and in a way I was glad to see to this as at least I'm not alone ...
