Has the same thing happened to you then? Did you get the search by Sigma bank (Fraud) and when was it?
I can only see that search at the moment. Would i be able to see the Fraud marker too?

Mine came from end of June time.

I got the search then the Fraud marker... but the thing is here I dont know anything about the search... I havent applied for anything through them!

Anyway, I've written them a very strong letter telling them I know what they're doing and they need to get that marker off my file or Im going to sue them...a) because I think they've done it for the same reason they've done it to you -simply because the application was declined and b) because I think whoever applied for this card has done so fraudulently anyway (I was a victim of fraud so I think someones got my details) I suggest everyone contacts them and asks why that search has bene placed there.... and ask them to remove it if there is no good reason.

I've only got the search at the moment ... and I hope that's where it ends ... or there will be trouble ahead ... lol .... :rolleyes:

To be honest, it does sound like we will also have this CIFAS warning put on to our files.
I am actually quite concerned about it. Although there was nothing dishonest about my application. It is so annoying when you are trying to sort out your credit file, and some idiots do something like this.

But how can they place a CIFAS marker on a credit file when there has been nothing fradulent afoot ?? Surely that can't be allowed??

They must think there is something dodgy as they wouldnt have searched using the Fraud thing in the first place would they?!

Who knows. Maybe i am worried about nothing, but i doubt it. Anyway, see if you can speak to them in the morning and let me know if you wouldnt mind. Although i suspect its not going to be that easy!!

Just the search by the CC company for me ... I'm just confused as to why it's been done about 6 weeks after the intitial application ... I am a little worried I will get a CIFAS marker although I haven't done anything wrong ... :eek:

no fraud marker for me yet just the same fraud search as others which sounds like it will result in a fraud Marker although I have done nothing wrong!
