Finally decided to phone them and did so Friday 4pm and by Saturday morning I had my despatch note and also a promise of my bluetooth headset by next weekend. So I guess I am feeling good at the moment. The next test is to see if the headset arrives and then at the end of month 6th if my cash back arrives.
  • Been checking on the comments on the forum and was wondering whether i would have a prob with my claim or hassle in getting my money back for 2 phones i have with them, but i have to say im happy with my experience. Sent my bills last month and got my cheque this morning for both phones. No issues - no probs, so i'm happy as larry!

Didn't think you would be too worried about a cash back deal with the money you are on as a Liverpool player :rotfl:

  • Hi,

Orders placed before 3rd July require your first 6 bills to be sent within 21 days of the issue date on your 6th bill. Customers who ordered on the 3rd July or after will need to forward your first 4 bills within 21 days of the date on bill number 4. Dispatch notes are only required for orders placed 3rd July onwards.

The address to send your bills is Cashback Department, The Mobile Outlet, 3-4 Riverdale House, Dockfield Road, Shipley, BD17 7AD.

    Hope this information helps.

    Hi everyone

I too have a cashback claim problem. I believe the following sentence which formed part of the T & C issued in March is self contradictory ... "Once you are in receipt of your sixth bill you need to forward the original bills from month 1-6 within 21 days from the bill date illustrated on your sixth bill."

The 6th bill arrived after just 5 months of network connection, so if I send away the 1st 6 bills, I am only sending bills from month 1-5 and so not satisfying the condition set out. If I wait until I have bills covering months 1-6 of network connection I miss the deadline for a claim.

I asked for clarification of this matter by e-mail but received no reply.

As I had experienced a similar situation with another retailer (I sent the first 6 bills to be told I was a month too early ... I was to wait until I'd had 6 months of network connection), I sent off my bills (7 of them) within 28 days of the 6th month anniversary of connection.

The claim was refused. I contested the decision in writing and recieved a second refusal. I again contested the decision to get a third refusal. In fact last week I received 2 letters , dated 1 day after the other, both refusing my claim.

You should also be aware that: the original paperwork from TMO came on photocopied headed paper with barely legible T & C on the reverse; e-mails have received no reply; no Reference Number appears on any correspondence; replies to my letters contesting the decision are standard, non-personal letters which do not deal with any of the points I've raised.

The situation has been reported to Trading Standards. TMO are behind in submission of their annual accounts.

I wonder just how many people have had their cashback claims refused?

Reading the other entries in this post one could be forgiven for thinking that TMO deliberately tries to mislead customers, by writing unclear T & C and by changing the T & C without notifying customers.

Any help appreciated ... a favourable reply from TMO would be much appreciated!

  • Hi,

If you can email your details to forumqueries@themobileoutlet.co.uk we can look into this matter in greater detail. Your claim should not have been classed as early if 6 bills where sent as part of your orginal claim. Once we are in recipt of your email, please allow 48 hours before we provide you with a detailed response and outcome.

  • Hi Mobile Outlet Forum Query Team

Is there any chance of getting a reply to emails sent to the forumqueries address or to the regular customer service email address? I have sent several emails to both addresses asking about my cashback claim and have not received a reply. My claim was submitted 6 weeks ago and so it is well past the 28 days and I have not received my cheque, nor even a claim refusal (which I shouldn't receive anyway as being a regular on these forums I've learnt how to sent a claim correctly). My sister is in the same position having bought a phone at the same time and sent her cashback claim at the same time. Her emails have not been replied to either.

What is going on?
