Hi All !
Glad things are going well for you KD - and you are totally forgiven for spending time on the wedding forums - hope your plans are going well?
Well, I have had a pretty chilled weekend...which was nice! Work Sat morning (usual Sat due in!) then picked up some fireworks on my way home. Got home, chilled out and watched a bit of Bond before headng over to some friends for a firework party. Late to bed Sat night, but made up for it by not waking up til almost 2pm yesterday!Did some shopping and had a lush roast dinner with OH last night.
Back to work today.
Spoke to BC on Sat as there was a credit showing on my CC account for the fraudulent amount. Nice man agreed to send my money back to my current account - so that should be with me Wed / Thurs! YAY!!!
Time to start thinking about Christmas I 'spose!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning!
Me being ever-hopeful logged on to my current account this morning.... no refund showing yet, but then again it wasn't due til tomorrow or Thursday anyway! lol (well, I don't like waiting!)
Am going to take a look at the savings board in a bit - need an account to repay OH into and it may as well have the highest amount of interest for the time its in there!
Have a good day everyone, even though its a bit on the wet and windy side! lol

Morning All!
Well it looks like my money coming back from BC will be 4 days and not 3 - logged on this morning and nothing there! :O(
Oh well, should have guessed!!
They wanted to charge me for the copy statements that I asked for (only needed them as they transfered the details to my new account no. due to the fraud and I could no longer access them online). After several emails - the last one of which I suggested that maybe they would like tot charge the cost of the statements to the crook who stole my card details - I received a call regarding my 'complaint' and they offered "as a goodwill gesture" to send the statements out F.O.C!! How nice of them. No wonder they want to charge though!!! Last night I had 3 separate envelopes from BC, each containing 1 statement. Talk about waste of postage and envelope costs!!! *I guess this is what happens when everything is automated!!*
So, thats it for me for now - I think I will start a new diary in January as that's when I will start repaying OH and my diary will take a different angle (slightly!). This one has been going for almost 2 years now..... time for a change!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good morning All!!
Another nasty weather day down here on the coast! The rain is driving and the wind is howling. All the external doors at work are slamming - not nice (but my little office is relatively toasty!!)
Well, I logged on to my current account this morning and there was my money from BC!!! YAY - really rather happy that it turned up in the time slot they said. So, have shifted most of it around to cover the money that I had previously moved to cover the fact that £552.06 was missing from my current account - and then its payday tomorrow!
Really should start thinking about the festive time of year and get my arris in order to research and find presents as cheap as poss.
Right, off to do some work - or at least look busy, Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi All - hope your week has started ok? I have that Friday feeling already! lol
Not really anything to report from me for now.... but a little thought that has been ticking over in my head...."Am I entitled to know the name of the person who used my card details? - they must know who as they bought airline tickets! (unless they were travelling on a false passport too)." Freedom of information and all that jazz?start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Wierdo? Me?
I just think knowing would be good! They got my details, why can't I be privy to some of theirs??
Well, I hope you are all well? It is a lovely crisp morning down here! Wouldn't mind being outside walking somewhere - but I am sat at my desk, currently being blinded by the bright sunshine! Hey-ho, at least its better than rain!
Right, I had better do some work - but not until I have had a look at my spreadsheet - I feel like I may have been neglecting my number recently... but only because I know whats going on for a change!

Hi All!
Well, as it is now a couple of days over my 2nd anniversary of having my LBM, I thought I would re-post my first post - mainly as a reminder of how totally angry I was with myself for getting to that point in the first place!!
So, here it is!natsplatnat wrote: »Hi All!
Having spent ages getting the weekly money saving tips email I finally ventured on here on Wednesday 19th Nov 2008. This followed my LBM:rolleyes:
My LBM came on Wednesday evening on my way home, just as the cashpoint said I could have the tenner I wanted, but would have to pay £25-00 for the privilege! I took my card and walked away without the tenner - yes, in the past I would have taken it despite the charge!
Wednesday I sat down and used the Personal Budget Plan that HSBC recently sent me in response to my letter trying to reclaim my charges due to hardship.
My total debt £18,225
After a gulp and a period of wanting to cry, I got angry with myself for letting myself get in this state. I think it is this self-anger that will keep me going!!
I always thought that I was quite tech-savvy, but find it hard to locate things on this site, so when I find the SOA template (I think there is one somewhere!) I will put it on here for you all to view and welcome your comments.
I did have a stroke of 'good luck' last night when I found an empty Abbey credit card. I contacted them and took advantage of their 0% BT offer. 0% until August 2009. I moved money from Egg card (currently at 17.9%) and Egg money (currently at 12.9%). There is a little space left on the Abbey card at 0% - do I transfer some money to my overdraft (HSBC £800-00) where I am bouncing over their limit and getting those annoying charges?
Today, I have made a packed lunch for the second day in a row (a record for me).
Tonight I need to work out my available cash for the week (I get paid weekly!)
Thanks for reading!
Nat
So, that was (virtually) 2 years ago, here I am now. Still here!
Don't get me wrong life is much more calm and stable money-wise and I am getting there (all thanks laid squarely at the feet of my OH!)
But I am still here - and I won't lie, it is gutting!! I really do just want to see the end of this debt and although there is an end in sight, I just have this feeling that things will change in times to come and (through no real 'fault') this date with slip (am thinking I am at the age whereby children and marriage may factor!!)
Anyway, thats it for me for now - I am off to have another look at my spreadsheet and see if I can find out what interest rate I have on my A&L savings account.
Have a great weekend all and I will be back next week, all pumped up and ready to do battle with the next year!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
