Do you go out regularly? If it's a rare treat then I definitely think you should have a drink and get a taxi. (like it would be for me).
....and I didn't buy the Uggs, simply cannot justify it, even at E-Bay pricesStart Date: 27/11/2010

Hmmmm - not exactly a rare treat!
Would just feel bad now if I were to pull out ... especially as in a couple of weeks its my b'day and we are all 'sposed to be going out! I'll see what words of wisdom OH has to offer on the subject this evening (could be amusing if nothing else!!)
Well done though on resisting the lure of the Uggs (I do have to admit to being tempted myself at some point!) Are they totally out the window or are you going to try and do something to offset the cost / contribute towards them?
Have decided to have a look at Matched Betting over the weekend. I get it in principal, up to a point. So will re-read and download the spreadsheet and see if I can make it work with some live examples!

Hi All!
Well, not a lot to report really (will be back later with my exact financial situation).
However.... I did go out for dinner Saturday night - many thanks to my OH for topping up the spends.
I spent too much money shopping on Sat - but do have more than enough food for the entire week - with the exception of a couple of jacket potatoes and more bread.
Didn't get round to looking at Matched Betting - must do so though as I think I should be able to make it work!
And...... Happy Days = Q.co is now showing a payout of £63.21 due for the beginning of April! YAY!!!!

Hi! (blushes at tardiness of writing!)
Well lets have a really quick catch up... since my last proper post, I have......- Turned 30 (had a really nice posh meal out with OH and then a big meal with friends and family) - Received a cheque for £500 from my mum and some other bits of money so am pretty much sorted for my USA trip now (as well as other lovely pressies including a $50 note).
- Have suspended paying my Egg Loan for 3 months - just to get myself on an even keel and to cover the service on my car (which I really must book as now overdue!)
- Opened a new online betting account for the Grand National - bet £20 (which I do every year) and returned £11 - but I did open the account via Q.co so I will get at least £20 back (it is currently showing as £50 though... so, "shhhh!";))
- I have another £18 showing as due for payment on Q.co (this was for the LoveFilm trial!)
- Need to sort out money for USA trip and check my Free Annual Travel Insurance that I get from A&L to make sure it is a proper policy!
- Need to book car in for service.
- Need to speak to A&L about the fact that Egg will not be taking their money for the next 3 months - they are showing it as a pending transaction that would take me up to my OD limit, meaning I cannot withdraw any pennies, when there are loads sat there! Don't really want to go through this every month for the next 3!
- Need to buy a few bits of clothes for trip!
I do note though that there has not been a lot of writing from either OBNW or IF recently!!!! tut tut tut!!! lol
Right, back off to work - have been on a first aid course this week so am frantically trying to catch up today!
Hope everyone is well and still busting those debts?start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Alright! Ca-lm down ca-lm down!
Right - where do I start?
So (in no particular order - just as things pop into my head)...- Am off to the States a week tomorrow (can't wait!) My flights were paid for back in January and thanks to my birthday present from my mum I am in the middle of sorting out my $'s - Think I have about £600 to change up. Also, my lovely OH has said he will put some money towards my 3 nights hotel stay in NYC, so thats a bonus too! :A
- I need to sort out my travel insurance - am hoping to upgrade the European Annual Policy I get with my A&L account. The cheapest other quote for a single trip to the States is about £35 (inc Q.co cashback!)
- I have approx £18.50 on Q.co showing as due for payment in the next few days. YAY! (still showing £50 for my Ladbrokes account opening - I think it was because they pay £20 for depositing and betting £20 on the sports pages and then they upgrade it to £50 if you deposit and play £50 in the casino. The money in the casino was put there by Ladbrokes themselves as a special offer as I placed my bets! lol - not that I am complaining mind you!)
- Due to taking a 3 month payment holiday from my Egg Loan, my A&L account is looking ok at the moment, but I am going to wait until I get back from my trip before I start slinging money around.
- I still need to get my car serviced.
Something else to do when I get back.
- Last week I was issued 4 different HRMC tax codes...NICE! and the one I have now is still wrong as they have an incorrect figue for my private medical cover. So they are currently taking an extra £1.50 or so a week off me - can't do anything about it until my works accountants submit the P60's /P11d's (or whatever they are). Tax code with still be different to last you as they apparently have £29.30 to reclaim as the medical cover premium went up halfway through last year and they didn't know! What a nightmare!
- Tesco CC have written to say that they are going to put my interest rate up! What lovely people they are! Options on the letter were to pay the account in full (errr, doh thats why I have a CC!) or accept the new rate. Am going to give them a call to see if they will freeze the existing rate if I close the account and pay it off? They can only say no - and I kinda think they have to give you the option!!?
- Bank holiday this weekend and I have to: Get my hair cut (first time since last July); buy a large handbag for hand-luggage usage (Matalan or TKMax I think); could do with some new underwear; could do with a pair of white trousers and some form of new footwear (ooh, this is starting to mount up!!:o) and I need to collect my mums camera from her to take with me. (we have a lovely camera, its just tooooo big to take around all the time so mum is going to lend me hers! bless)
- Sunday evening sees the final of the poker league I play. One game, chips equal to the points we have built up over the last 11 weeks and prizes for 1st to 4th (I think). Am currently 5th in the league, so there is 'everything to play for' as they say!
The final should be next week, but I got them to move it as I am away! :T
There is bound to be something that I have forgotten to mention, so the chances are I will be back later today with another round of waffle!
I hope everyone is well and looking forward to the bank holiday weekend?
