Sorry Nats, Ive never seem to post on your thread, just wanted to say you are doing so well with clearing debts/organising your money.
Can you please sort mine out for me

Hi Nats
You’re doing so well hun!! And well done on not going out, its really difficult when you want to (and the naughty devil is on the shoulder saying “Go, go, go”. I had the same Friday night – but I resisted and on updating spend diary and checking bank last night – I’m very glad I did!!
Good on your OH onside with splitting food shopping. It does help when they understand (and the fact he said to you “What would Martin think” – that’s brill and made me giggle)
Be careful with the diesel hun, don’t wanna hear you having run out somewhere! But good that your car tells you how many miles – mine is old and the fuel indicating needle is rubbish!!!
Glad to hear all is ok my DFW friend!!

Well, well, well! My OH is starting to see where I am coming from in my quest to become DF!!
Last night he said......(and I quote!).....
"Its nice that we have a weeks worth of food in the house. So not only will be buying bits and pieces in the week and not keeping track, but we won't be throwing away as much food!"
"I used all the older veg in tonights dinner - you wouldn't have know would you?"
"The PS3 was a good investment as it was part DS's birthday present and with the PlayTV option we can do all the things you can do on sky, without having to pay monthly and comparing it to sky, after a year this won't owe us penny, whereas we would still be paying monthly for sky!"
" Lady on the radio from the CAB said it is a great idea to keep a spending diary for at least 2 weeks. Apparently it is amazing where all those extra pennies go!!"
"Buying a national lottery ticket will set you back £52 a year, based on one a week! I usually buy 2!! Now thats a lots of money!"
"If I spend a tenner each time I go in the pub, whats that on average per year?" I worked out, on average he would be looking at spending over £4,000 per year!! I think the look on my face said it all.
And so it went on. He is still nowhere near his LBM, but (like a moth round a lightbulb) he is circling and getting closer each time!!

Oh and in my excitement of the above post I forgot the following....
1) I have applied for and been accepted for the A&L current account, so thats a total of £150 coming my way (£50 cash back through a site and £100 for transfering my DD's .... that will serve HBSC right for being meanies!!) Just need to check the £50 tracks!
2) I have set my gas and electric up on DD... I only changed last June and have only just got my second bill. They wanted something like £50 a month electric and £30 for gas. To which I said "NO WAY!!" and we agreed on £30 for electric and £15 for gas, to be reviewed when I like, proabably in the summer!! (as I haven't paid for either since October due to being on quarterly bills, I want to get on top of it and then reduce if its way too much!)
I think thats it.....I'll be back if I think of anything else.
Oh, I will need to put some diesel in tonight, getting dangerously low (and cheers Emms, I do not want to run out somewhere!!) lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
