I am smoking rollies!! If this was the only thing to smoke..... then I would give up... in fact I probably would never have started.
I have my pay-slip for tomorrows payday. I am itching to sort out my budget and post it now, but will contain myself, work it out tonight and post it up tomorrow!
I think that last night my OH had his closest ever brush with a LBM!!! But he's still not there! He does want to budget for food shopping and his bills etc. Just want him to agree to withdrawing the available cash for the month and having to make it last. Thought Feb might be a good one as its only 4 weeks?! We'll see!! No point pushing him as he will dig his heels in.. needs to realise it for himself!!
Have a good Thursday all - PAYDAY TOMORROW (for most people?)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Aw - good that he might be coming around to your way of thinking!! I have to say my OH is very good with that - he's not in debt and in fact has LOADS of savings.. but 2 years ago after a failing company and a nasty habit we won't go into he had to go through the same thing that I'm going through... but he came out the other side, now not only is debt free but has enough savings for a deposit for a house and supports everything I do as he knows what it is like!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270

PS still just under 4 weeks until pay day
I thought Feb was meant to be a short month!?

Ok people - its the Friday update.......
1) SQUASH-GATE!!
My OH's near brush with a LBM disappeared into oblivion last night when we had a row about why there was no squash to drink!!! I pointed out that although I knew we needed it (we ran out Wednesday night!), I had exhausted the shopping budget (and blown my own!) and that I thought 1 evening without squash wouldn't kill us. To which I was told "if you haven't got the money I would have given it back you". To which I said "I don't want your money (because you haven't got any either, you just haven't realised that yet!!) and its a learning curve to work out how much of certain things we need for the week" Anyway, to cut a long story short, it ended with OH say "so Martins website has told you that you have no money, so you didn't buy any and now we dont have any! What a load of carp!" and I pointed out that "I know I have no money and you knew we wanted it so you could have bought some.... I will buy some when I go shopping on Friday!!!" He stomped off to bed and we haven't spoken since!! Ho-hum!!
2) WEEKLY BUDGET
This is officially a good week with only 1 DD for my car insurance due out at £16.65.... but next week is a bad week with about £100 more going out than I get in my wages so...
I have withdrawn £60 for the week for food, diesel and cigarettes.
This leaves my account at no lower than -£195 for the week! But next week, it will be back to about -£360 (DDs and weekly withdrawal!). That is without some cards, a present for my mum, half price dinner and 2for1 cinema tickets for OH b'day (if we are talking! lol) and valentines (again, if we are talking!).
I was umming and aahing about whether to update my sig with my OD balance or not as this week it looks great, but next week it will look worse again!.... but have decided that I am going to as I want to share everything monetary on here and if I didn't do it I would be kidding not only me, but you guys as well!
Well.... NSD challenge for Feb starts on Sunday and with nothing planned other than a good house blitz - that should be one day under my belt!
Have a great weekend all! :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!

Hi Kmac!!! Thanks for dropping by - I can't believe you've read the whole lot!!:o
I am sooo envious of you, the view and the snow! It is now raining here and by the looks of it the snow is disappearing fast - I knew I should have stayed at home this morning and built snowmen!!
I do think that £60 a week is a fair budget. It's just in the past couple of weeks it's all gone a bit wonky and I know the next week will be very bad (b'days and valentines) and the week after (b'days). Roll on March!!
I could lie on here and say I've been very good - but kidding myself that things are ok is partly repsonsible for why I'm in this state in the first place!
The good news is that I didn't spend it on credit - it was money out my current account, it just means that my quest to be at £0 is a little behind track!
I hope you are enjoying the snow still (I would be!!)
