Well here we are again - I seem to live my weeks waiting for Friday to come along - it used to be waiting for Saturdays so I could go out and party!! Now, update my signature is much more exciting than a night out (well.... maybe not, but its free!!)
So, my budget for the week. (having overspent a little last week!)
I am going to pay an extra £60 into the account we use to pay the rent and bills etc. I realised last night that although I got my OH to up the amount he pays in, I hadn't done the same myself. Oops!
I am going to withdraw £120 cash, for the following....
£10 diesel
£15 cigarettes
£50 food
£45 extras
Food - I want to stock the kitchen up good and proper (my freezer has never looked so organised!), my OH has bought lots of bits for the house in the past couple of weeks, so thought I would do the shop!!
Extras - I need to start stocking up on b'day cards - loads in the next 2 months and I have the feeling that there may be a trip to the pub over the weekendI was 'sposed to be going out dancing (sounds so much better than clubbing at my age!!) Sat night, but we have to go to an afternoon tea for my OH's aunts 90th b'day instead and won't get back in time for that. A couple of my friends are going through a bit of a rough time at the mo, so I'm sure there will be a few drinks to have at some point. Since crimbo I have only really withdrawn each week what I need to cover the basics (food, diesel & cigarettes) and haven't allowed anything for me. This has started to grate a little so from next week will allow £10 a week and any spare I will pay into my re-discovered NS&I account (I have about £52 in there!!! BONUS!)
All this means that I have a 'spare' £110 to leave in my account to reduce my OD. I was orginally aiming for a max of -£560 this week, but now will not go over -£450 between now and next Thusday evening.
So on the whole..... its all good!!
Right, going to update my signature (highlight of the day) and then do some work - I'll be around though!!

hi Nats
Not sure if I've posted on here before, but I read your thread every day, well done you. I bought 10 birthday cards on Ebay last week for £1.49 + 90p postage - they were really nice quality. Not sure who the seller is but they were selling bundles of 10 nice cards. I thought that was a great price, and was really pleased with them, especially when most cards cost at least that each.0 -
Thanx Goochie - I will def have a look on Ebay. I had never thought of buying cards from there (sometimes I can be a bit dense!! lol) was going to have a look in Wilkinsons - but Ebay is much more MSE!!
Glad you're reading me - the more the merrier!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hey - that's a good idea... I might stock up myself on birthday cards that way!! I always pay well over the odds last minute for them...
Isn't pay day just the best day! Mind you - you get them every week but I've been waiting for mine for ages!! Well done at getting the overdraft down more, bet that's a great feeling! I'm loving checking out my new signature.. I know it hasn't gone down much since my LBM, but that's because of Pay Day Loans and Council Tax arrears eating up my money.. so the fact it's still gone down by £400 in 2 months is quite an achievement for me - and that's before I get my February statements through as well!
Anyhow hope you've got that Friday Feeling... I'm off dancing on Saturday Night (I also hate the word clubbing haha!) and am excited for the weekend so no doubt I'll be spending my afternoon logged on here... whoopsDebt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Yay at least it’s not just me who gets excited about payday and for the reason of becoming DF – not spending it!!
Well done on the budget – and especially on the O/D – that’s fab – I reckon that’ll be gone before you know it!!! Am with you on the birthdays – and great suggestion from Goochie
Definitely don’t blame you on having a little something for yourself. I think you have to, to be reasonable… otherwise its unrealistic. But at least we know how to do in moderation now
Anyway just popping in – won’t hijackHave a lovely weekend my DFW friend

Now, on the basis that I keep my weekly budget the same (£60 from 23 JAN)and allocate my DD's as they stand - here is my OD balance forecast.....
16 JAN -£575.54
(carry forward balance, +wages, -DD's and weekly budget £60)
23 JAN -£280.00
Well I couldn't remember what I had put for this week on my 'long range forecast' so have found it above.
?? Well, something has gone a bit wonky but.....
I hadn't allowed the £60 I transered to the house account and I have allowed more money than usual this week for extra bits and pieces I want to get (withdrew £120) So if I take this into account, I would have been at £-270 - actually ahead of target.
So next week, back on the strict money diet!!
Have a great weekend all!! :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
