HI Nats
Just popped in - I'm back to busy at work now... not fair I tell ya - don't they realise I need time on here!!
I'm with you on the second job - I would like one but my health doesn't help me... I suffer from a bad back if I do too much.
Hope you've had a good start to the week??
Emms x
(Good to see your progress on OD)

Good evening one and all!!
Well, here we are on Tuesday! Where is the week going to?
Emms - work is a right PITA!!! I swear it is work that is slowing down my debt-free progress! lol Weeks, not going tooo bad,although....... I have overspent by £10. (eek!)
Basically Sunday afternoon I went to the pub to catch up with some friends who haven't been around recently. I withdrew an extra £10 - but still have just over £6 in my purse, so all is not lost (it did help that I won a few games of cards - usually 60p buyi-in and £2.40 - £3.00 winnings!!) and I had a really nice time so don't feel too guilty about it!
Still not sure about 2nd job. Back in the grind at work and things are pretty busy, so going home tired. Not sure I would stay the lovely person I am if I deprive myself of sleep? (See previous posts.... I LIKE MY SLEEP!!)
Well, I had better totter off home. So far a NSD for me and I think it should stay that way!!
Have a great evening all - I'll be back tomorrow!!! Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hiya Nats
Its Wednesday now – YAY!!! LOL at PITA – I use that phrase too!! Love it…
Oops on overspend – but as you have £6 still in purse – that’s only £4 overspend surely – and I actually think that’s a great Sunday out – the card game being very fun and nice low stakes!! We do still all need to enjoy ourselves a bit!
I know exactly what you mean about 2nd job – not only is mine a health thing, but I have no time in the evenings to myself as it is. I have a good few friends & family I catch up with round here (more so whilst dad is here) so lucky to have one night a week to myself!! I shouldn’t complain I know!!
YAY at NSD – mine hopefully today – is there usually a thread at the beginning of each month to join the NSD challenges? Or do you just do your own and put it in your signature?
Hope you’re Wednesday is good chickadee!!!

Good Wednesday to you all!! :j
So? What have I been up to?
Last night I sat and wrote out my manual diary through to early June. Have decided not to move the car payment (see previously posted about evening out the weeks). This does mean that I have 1 week each month where I pay out more than I receive in wages - but I kind of like the challenge of having to budget ahead for it. It also means that there is at least 1 week per week where I usally have no DD's from my wages.
I have numbered all the weeks since I had my LBM and my 6 month anniversary is the 15th May. I think at this point I will update my outstanding debt in my sig (just a moral boost more than anything) to see how much I have managed to reduce it by!
Looking ahead it does look like my 'self imposed OD limit' should reach £0 quicker than I thought! (at £40 per week it would have taken 20 weeks! putting me somewhere around early April) I am hoping that if I can maintain a minimum of £40 on the bad weeks and lump more in on the good weeks (up to £240 in one go! that's an equivalent to 6 weeks at £40!!) I should be at £0 some time in February! This means I can then run my current account to £0 each week (forward budgeting when necessary!) and stick everything spare against my debts. This was my first aim and although still despondant that things are not reducing as quick as I first hoped, I will be more settled and abitious once I reach this target!!
The whole second job thing is falling by-the-by (kind of thought it would!). There may be some odd bar work around shortly at my local, so I may investgate that as an option as I can socialise whilst working!!! (bonus!!)
Emms - work is still a PITA!! I would love to be paid to spend time on here, but sadly not the case! I will re-join the NSD challenge in February. I missed the first few days of Jan and for the life of me couldn't remember what I had been up to, so decided to skip it this month - but have no fear, I will be back on it next month. Oh, and I'm thinking about playing poker professionally!! :rotfl: Wouldn't mind a nice win!!
Well, better start doing some more work!! Hey-ho!!
Have a great day all!! :beer:start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Wow - how organised are you!! That's brilliant if you can get your overdraft gone by February... when you see the dates change to nearer it's just so much more motivational!!
You seem to be paying off loads towards your targets already though, so I think twice about getting a second job... I work in a bar at weekends which I enjoy enough to not mind too much, but hasn't been much work available recently and i have LOVED having more time to see friends and spend with my OH... and I haven't spent any more money, I've just not earnt any more either!? I guess it depends on what makes you happy in life and if sleep does then hell it's free and spend more time in bed!!!
Anyhow have a great day - can't believe it's Wednesday I'm sure it feels like a Thursday... *sigh*Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Well done on the 6 month diary – and you said you weren’t organised, porky pier

When I first read your o/d bit I got so confused (don’t do maths very well!!:o) … but re-read it and got it – well done hun!! That’s fab…. Heres to your February O/D challenge
OOOO let me know when you find the NSD February challenge thread – I need to join too!!!

Sorry hun - I just re-read it as well and its not that clear!! See? Thats what happens when I ramble on and on and on (and ariston!)
Long term organisation is ok, but seem to forget about the day to day - which would make the long term plans either easier or more beneficial!!! doh! Saying that though I did sell myslef short yesterday as I forgot to mention I got some sausages out the freezer for dinner last night! (GO ME!!)
Have a great day, I'll be back laters!

It probably wasn't that confusing hun, when people spout maths at me... i just get so confused.. the poor b/f tries... I say just tell me what the total or end result is ... I can't do the math!!
Am good at english - so that's my excuse!!
YAY on the sausages!! Well done! I need long term organisation - shame we swap for a bit to help each other!! lol!!
Pop back later properly!!

Hmmm - totally overlaid this morning so had to buy lunch - only £2.74 as I bought a sandwich and a multipack of crisps (6 for £1.54) instead of 1 pack for 49p!! They will act as a back up incase I forget to bring them from home!! (every cloud and all that!)
Other than that all is pretty hunky-dorey. Early night tonight as very short staffed tomorrow and its going to be a mad one at work. I am working Saturday as an extra, so that will be a little extra in next weeks wages (puts wages up by about £35 after tax so not too sad!) About the only overtime on the agenda at the moment, but I think everything should be ok as long as I plan each week at a time!
The whole second job is currently out the window as I am too tired (8-6 Mon to Fri is enough I think!)
Well, back to the grindstone! Will update tomorrow with my plan for the next week!
Have a great Thursday everyone!! Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
