Thing is, am I right in thinking MATH used to be a graphic designer ?
And MATH - before you say art.com has nothing to do with what you did, I know. Take another look at my efforts. Laughable really, esp when you consider I got an A in art O level and my dad was a professional artist (amongst other things)
I know a bad workman always blames his tools but I've got a dodgy mouse which has gouged a rut in my desk:rudolf: There's that many tramlines it looks like a scale model of Manchester centre:rolleyes:
Funnny you should bring up me being a graphic designer. I was talking to a youngun and church tonight and was explaining that 'in my day' we didn't have computers and had to draw free hand. Cut and paste actually meant CUT (with a scalpel) and PASTE (with cow gum) he looked at me like I was talking gibberish. I daren't mention that you had to go to the dark room everythime you wanted to enlarge or reduce incase he thought me a complete fossel.
Had a busy day today. Cooked and ate Lamb (there was an edict that all Os'Stylers must eat lamb today) and tonight waved my sis off on her trip back home to the states.

Today is to be the final double check of everything ready for the boys going back to school on Wednesday (school bags/sports kits/uniforms).
Washed their coats this morning (er .. yesterday!) and they are hanging in the airing cupboard so I'm fingers X'd at the moment that they will dry in time for a light ironing!
B: Cinnamon Toast

Morning :hello:
Another bad night about 4hrs kip! DD still not too good, so looks she'll be back on sofa again as shes supposed to be back at school tomorrow. All her uniform is ready and homework done so she can just take it easy today-but have asked her to tidy her room :wall: We'll see!!!!
Washload in ATM and will be hung on airer. Very impressed with this new gadget. Did 2 heavy washloads yesterday (jeans, trousers, jumpers, towels etc) and both loads were dry by the end of the day. DW is nearly full, so will go on after breakie. Toilet has been cleaned.
Signed up for freecycle yesterday as needing a few bits around the house and must have received about 100 emails of what people are offering
Most of my sale items I ordered online have been delivered and all have fitted etc so far. Have kitted all 3 of us out. 2 pairs of trousers bought for DD need to be taken up slightly which my SIL has done over the weekend and will be bringing them over tomorrowshe's also done 2 pairs of jeans that my sister bought her 3 months ago-so DD will have 4 new pair of jeans/trousers and all for so cheap or free :j
Have sorted through DD's clothes and have a ton of stuff to put on ebay, so may start turbo listing it today (if I have the energy) even if I can do 10 items each day it will help. I probably have enough stuff to list 25 items a week for about 3 months and things are always being added. I have a money system of only accepting payment in either cheque or postal order, then this gets paid into a seperate electron saving account that is linked with my paypal account. These funds are only used to replace items needed when they've been sold or other bits off ebay needed. So, in effect Im paying nothing as Im replacing or upgrading free what we already have. This has saved me a fortune. I have about £300 sitting in there gaining % each month and when purchasing from ebay I try to pay via paypal at all times so im covered if anything goes wrong but will not accept payment via paypal as the fees are so flippin high.
I have opened an ING saving account and a A&L current account (joint) so have to get OH to post the ID off and signed agreements today. Also have a coat I bought DD 3 months ago from Argos Additions and all stitching has come undone-so am sending that back. They have sent me a free returns sticker so not costing anything. It only cost £12 but surely a winter coat should last longer than 14 weeks
Breakie:scrambled egg on toast
Lunch:Jacket Spud with chilli
Dinner:Fish, mash or new pots and carrots/peas
I really need to start drinking more of those awful fortisip drinks as my weight has now dropped to 9stone 6lbs and Im 5 foot 10 and look too skinny and boney. Size 10's are starting to feel loose  Anyone got any ideas to put weight on, but am unable to eat alot of bread, pasta, milk products, fruit or veg
Will catch up later. Have a great day all.

Morning Queenie, Morning PP, Morning everyone!
Up with the lark again today....am going to resist all temptation to return to my bed and will just stay up. Today is the last day of my holiday and I really want to squeeze every last minute out of it. Am dreading going back to work tomorrow, as I really can't stand the place, it is so unfriendly.
PP I am really quite envious of how much you do...your house sounds like it is always sparkling...my house is a tip..maybe if I didn't log in here so much things would be different. Regards your looking to put on weight, perhaps you could fry more food? Fried leftovers eg potato can be tasty. Maybe add more oily dressings to whatever you have, and add a nice big dollop of honey onto your cereals if you have them, and also a nice thick spread of honey (or marmalade) on toast or biscuits. It's rather tricky for you you poor thing but you gotta eat to get better...
Old style today - wash the car (didn't bother in the end yesterday)
Iron work uniform (again a job I didn't quite get round to yesterday)
Give kitchen floor a good scrubbing using only soda crystals and water
Do an inventory of my cupboards and freezer as the basis for a meal plan for the rest of the week - will elaborate on it at the weekend for the rest of the month.
Have to study too...have two exams in a fortnight and I am nowhere near ready for them. I still want to go to university but will have to think hard about it. I am getting so stressed about coursework etc now, it would be disasterous to start a full time course in this frame of mind.
Happy Bank Holiday everyone.

Morning everyone :hello:
My, everyone sounds so busy! Last day of my hols today and back to work tomorrow. I've really enjoyed being at home (even though I've had a rotten cold) and don't want to go back tomorrow. Ah well.
OH has taken extra leave and goes back to work on Friday. Today he's going to start re-decorating the hallway. We got the paint in the sales at the weekend and wallpaper just before Christmas. It should look lovely when it is all done.
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning all,
O/H just gone to work and kids still asleep so just pottering for a while. Main task today is to take down all trimmings, cards and christmas tree ready for normality tomorrow. Have no idea how I'm gonna get that tree outside, its rather large! probably just drag it and then cope with mound of needles left behind. Would get DS to help but his GF is here today. She used to live locally but moved away in Aug (30 miles )so they don't see each other as much as they would like, Long distance love
I could also do with nipping out to stock up on fruit and stuff.
Breakie, Crumpets & fresh orange
Lunch, Plate salad
Dinner, Fish Pie & veg
Have a happy day all,

Morning Queenie (hope you got some sleep), morning PP, JAMIE and everyone else. :hello:
Today I'm working from home :snow_grin . after I have taken eldest DD to work. She starts driving again this week after her illness last year so this will save me some journeys.
To do today:
Going to put tree and decorations away.
Do an inventory of the kitchen cupboards/freezer
Get uniform's ready for Wednesday
Clear my bedroom as it has become a dumping ground over Xmas
Make dinner form contents of fridge, so many leftovers
I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning!
Today is DS2's 5th birthday! I didn't manage to find him an 'Incredibles' cake yesterday but did get him a really big party cake (serves 15  ) from Tesco and he was pleased with that (just about)!
My goal for this year is to save £1000, I know it's not much for a whole year but we have absolutely zilch saved for emergencies. I've started saving £40 a month for next Xmas and have been saving £50 in a high interest jobbie for a year to do up the kids room. Gotta start somewhere
PP - Have you tried Ensure plus? It's a drink like fortisip. Another thing is Sanatogen high protein powder but it's more for building strength.
Have a good day everyone!Mortgage-free wannabe!0
