Not much going on today here.
Tree and cards have just been taken down.
Pork shank for lunch just been popped in the oven. Yummy roast and might even make a apple crumble if the apple defrost in time. Doubt it just taken it out. :snow_laug But have put it in a sink of cold water.
Got a nice money off code from a french catalogue I belong to. £10 off and no min spend so have ordered some underwear for myself and 3 t-shirts for husband just for postage of £3.45. The t-shirts I will hide away as a present for him for one of the gift giving events that happends during the year.
Might go and see my parents this afternoon. But have a feeling they going off out to look around the sales. So might tag along will wait and see where they are going first.
Mind you I might play my pc game later. Husband only buys games that we will both play. So we get double the value out of them. As they get played twice and not once. And we buy either from ebay or wait until it has been out about a year before buying so it well cheaper.
Well better go and make a coffee as husband is wrestling with the tree trying to get it back in the box. He has already broken off a twig  . And it is it's first year up. As I bought it in the Jan sales last year.
Yours

Tip: Grate off the zest before throwing away any citrus fruit halves that you have used for squeezing the juices from. The zest will store for a while in polythene containers and can be useful to add flavour to many different sweet and savoury dishes.
Alternatively, remove the zesty rind in thin slivers (I have a veggie peeler which does the job beautifully), place on a baking tray and dry slowly in the oven (while the oven is cooling down). Snip finely and keep in an airtight container to use as flavourings.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning everyone (just)
Not feeling to good this morning had abit to much red wine last night and then DD was up three times in the night OH slept right through and then wasnt to happy when i woke him this morning to get up with her so I could have a lie in! Not much OS today going to dads for tea got some tidying to do before then.
Had a late xmas present yesterday of OH and in-laws a Sewing machine so I'm over the moon about that only problem is we dont currently own a table that is high enough to use it on as my sister lives in our dinning room (long story wicked step mother and her dont get on LOL). Might have a look to see if I can get one that will go flat back against the back wall in the living room could really do with somewhere to sit as OS meals arent as easy to eat off your knee I've discovered.
LTS that looks like a reasonable price for a Kenwood to me, mine was my nans and is over 30 years old and is still fantastic, has proved invaluable since started OSing.
Hope everyone has a good start to the new year.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Making a Sunday lunch for 4pm and thawing brambles which I picked earlier in the year to make bramble pie.
May pop out to get tea bags and some cream but trying not to keep buying stuff.
As hairdryer went bang yesterday and the spare one is a bit dodgy - searched old posts and found that a subscription to "Sante" magazine for about a tenner for 6 months will deliver a tressemme hairdryer and three of their hair products as a gift. Very pleased.
So far I have had Calvin kein "Truth" perfume, two sets of Wahl hair straighteners, Imperial Leather bath and shower products - all for free (once subs are paid)
Happy New Year."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
I've been making blackberry muffins with blackberries I picked in Autumn(not earlier in the year-that would have been this morning
)
Have lamb roasting away and smelling fantastic.Christmas decs being taken down as I write.Ds1 playing Madness on cd player-worse than OH and Led Zeppelin(I like classical).
Beautiful new year's day here in Worcester :j0 -
Hello! Like Jaybee this is my first post on here, as I am trying to OS before moving into a place of my own!!! I have been cinvincing my mum that we don't need any food shopping, so we are using up all the odds and ends which include -
Lentil Soup left overs in fridge
Cheese (so much cheese from xmas and new year!!!)
Turkey curry (See I have been lurking, just not posting!)
some ham
Some HM Bubble and Squeek.
Plan is to keep going until we completely run out, then we are doing a meal plan for two weeks. We have both decided to go back on Weight Watchers, and that will help us with the OSing as we always eat fresh cooked stuff.
I am also sorting out my financial stuff (all the bills from my recently ended relationship are still in my name, even though I dodn't live in the house!) and I am also doing mass decluttering and ebaying later on! Have already made about £120 selling stuff (like my pda which I never used) to go into the pot for moving house!
Thanks for listening to my ramble!!0
