Morning all, now I know why I haven't quit smoking as I get all my best ideas sat outside having a fag.

I've sorted my problem of not being able to sit very long at the computer because of my hip. I've got a memory foam pillow back from when I was having neck and back problems. I haven't used it in about 6 months so I'm going to cut it to size, cover it with some nice fabric and put it on my computer chair!!

I have loads of stuff to clear away today as I tried to give my car away yesterday and instead a very lovely lady insisted on giving me 50 quid for it, between advertising it and it going was about 5 hours and it was full of stuff that had to be removed quickly :D That's all now sat in my dining room so I must clear it away. I didn't really want to take the money off her, I was just glad to see it being used instead of scrapped but after paying out 50 pounds for a new guinea pig hutch on Saturday I did really need the money.

DH got paid today and it was a decent amount of money for once :D He still hasn't claimed for the overtime he did on christmas and boxing day and he has 3 days overtime to claim for this month so February's pay packet is going to be a good one too. He also has two concerts to play in march which he'll earn 300 pounds for so the next couple of months are looking good financially :D

    Morning everyone. :hello:

I haven't posted on here for a bit, I would like to say that I've been too busy, but I would be fibbing. I have been lurking, but have trouble wrestling the computer from my toddler.

Today is payday yehaa, although it's mostly all accounted for. Waiting for my monthly online shop to be delivered, and then I shall go out to pay my bills etc, then finish the housework.

Hope everyone has a good day, and good luck with the potty training.

Hi, fs - I was only thinking yesterday that I hadn't read a post from you for a while!

moggins - take care of your hip.

Work today. After a 10 Whip round at l/t need to concentrate on getting my little 'un ready to go to her Nans tomorrow for 5 whole days. whether to :j or

This evening will make a list of things I want to get done whilst she's off: eg find and bake a banana cake recipe (probably one in the recipe collection - just haven't had time to look); cancel a few cc/bank accounts; tons of filing; ebaying to make Febs PMS challenge... for starters. Anyhow, work beckons......

    Morning all

So peaceful here this morning! DH off to work and won't be back until 7. DD's and before and afterschoolers dropped at school...no little ones today - A day for me!!! :j

I'm going to start with a cleaning the filters on the hoover, progress to washing the kitchen floor, attacking the ironing and washing piles with a vengance and then flake out in a hot bath before getting the tea sorted......I've got the thought of the bath driving me on....

Brekkie - half and half hm toast(glad yours turned out ok claire)
Lunch - muffins and wraps for all - I'll have what ever I fancy at the time
Tea - Fish cakes and mash for DD's - leek and potato soup for DH and me with fresh rolls.

A tip for the potty trainers........turn the heating up - strip them off and get a bucket of water for them to play with - the water will make them want to pee and if you can keep reminding them about the potty you might get a good game going............Used to work well with mine.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good luck to all those currently potty training. I didn't manage to get DD out of nappies until it was nearly time to start school.

SHOPPING ALERT!! For those of you with a Co-op. They have Atora Beef Suet on special offer at the moment. It's buy 2 for 1.19 and they are the big packets, that works out at less than 60p a pack.

    Morning all :hello:

I haven't been on over the weekend because of being busy/not being at home. Got my hair done on Friday night so it looks fab - my natural colour is brown with a lot of blonde in it and some grey, so it has a tendency to look washed out, and I like to get it dyed so it's all the darkest point of my natural colour IYSWIM.

Didn't feel sleepy on Friday night so didn't get to sleep until about 3am, then (bizarrely) must have been tired after all because I didn't wake up until 2pm on Saturday :o so all my good intentions for Saturday went to pot. I did just about manage to fit in preparing a casserole for the SC and setting it off before going out to a concert on Saturday evening, to be boxed up for the freezer when I got home.

Decided to check out what was left of the Debenhams sale after church yesterday, and picked up a couple of super bargains. They had masses of surplus stock of designer white cotton "waffle" bathrobes reduced from £30 to £5, so I bought two (one to live at my house and one to live at boyfriend's)! And a nice pair of brown leather gloves half price at £10, which annoyingly I later discovered have a small hole in the lining at the tip of the left thumb. There were two more pairs left and both were in my size (large - I've got long fingers!) so I hope they still have them on display today as I will be in the area this afternoon and can exchange them.

Then went over to check out BF's new place, which is a basement flat in West London. He gave me the guided tour, then we treated ourselves to a Thai dinner at a local restaurant and we watched "Moonstruck" on DVD. Got an early night (10:30) and went straight to sleep, but still managed to oversleep (BF had to get out as early as possible to move his car from a restricted parking area, and get down to the parking permits office to enable him to park outside his flat without getting towed away!)

Got into work half an hour ago and it's total chaos as we've had the place moved around over the weekend - we have smaller desks now, with less storage space, and somewhere there are two crates with all my stuff in but I don't know where they are!

This evening I have a church service for the licensing of our new Priest-In-Charge, which means I get to leave the office on time at 5pm (yay!) and sing one of my favourite Mozart masses (double yay!) then I would imagine there will be some free wine afterwards (triple yay!) Hopefully I'll get home in time to get the WM on and eat some decent home-cooked food cos I can't really face a kebab

    Catch you later

OMG!!! I have lived in this house for 7 years and have only just realised that there is a house with a window at the back that is so high up they can see straight into my kitchen. The amount of times I have run starkers through my kitchen to get to the loo secure (I thought) in the knowledge that no one could see me. Guess I'll have to make sure I put my dressing gown on next time.
