In the retail park in Denton, Arcadia have one big shop which has Evans, Dorothy Perkins and some other shop (think it was Burton but can't remember).
It seems like a typical thing to do (like Opaque said - theres no reason to have individual stores).0 -
All stores under one roof used to be known at "Outfit". Now it's just a cheap way of saving 5 or 6 rents in towns where an out of town store is handy/way of having a town presence.0

Anyone know if the stores are still open today?? We went to a large former Big W store last night and it was very busy. I got mens socks that were £3 reduced to £1 for 5 pairs less 20%. Very nice socks, they were in the Peacock bit in a big trolley.0

Yes, I've been in my local one and it was doing a roaring trade!
I got the 3 for 2 750g Toblerones at £3.49 each then minus the 20% among other things, and have had the voucher handed back to me with instructions to carry on using it until it expires on Sunday.0 -
Just went to Woolworths, lots of fab deals! Make sure to hand the voucher over first, as they can't do the discount after it's all scanned and will have to delete it all and start over!0

I went in to our small Woolies today and the cashier told me they were being given a months notice and the shop would be open a month.
They will probably get a months notice but I can't see the shops being open another month.
They had lots of MP3 players reduced from £30 to £10 and some for £5, can't remember which type they were except one was a Phillips and they didn't have big memories.
They had Hed Kandi Mp3 players for £10 but not sure how much they are supposed to be.0 -

I've pre-ordered JK Rowling's Beedle the Bard book with them, due to be released on 4th December. Wonder if the order will be honoured

I think woolies staff should make everyones christmas by giving away the stuff tomorrow and get their relatives to all hit the store too.
By the sound of things most of them are going to find out about losing their jobs by watching Sky News tonight.
