;) I think woolies staff should make everyones christmas by giving away the stuff tomorrow and get their relatives to all hit the store too.

By the sound of things most of them are going to find out about losing their jobs by watching Sky News tonight.

Well in woolies today I bought my little un some malteasers she dropped 3 as we were leaving so I picked them up and asked the man on the till if he had a bin I could put them in. He said to give him the packet and take a new one of r the little one. I said are you sure and he replied they can only sack me once.................. I thought it was really nice of him, so did little one as she had already eaten half, lol!

poor woolworths, ive had some good deals from them in the past, cant believe really that they may be gone for good, they have been in the high street for years, why do these things always seem to happen near christmas as well.

i did see on the news that they said what with the credit crunch it will be survival of the fitest on the high street.

it is a real shame as i have always had really helpful staff when i contact them to see if they have something in stock.
    hopefully they will survive.

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Hope I'm wrong but those vouchers might not be honoured as some types are basically a credit note that woolies pass to the voucher company. Now if the voucher company is owed money by woolies:confused: they aint gonna be too quick to honour any more bits of paper.............

Looks like you were right.......kind of. Think they've just pulled the voucher instead.

They are all owned by Arcadia (which is why you can use your store card in each of the stores) so in some places theres no reason to have 3 stores.
Peterborough would be a good example, not that much custom around.
