  • This thread is hilarious. Board guides, I hadn't finished reading the 10 page trollathon that got removed - can you reinstate it please?

Back to the matter in hand then.

Sorry if this appears rude but we do not care about her feelings...Nice She paid for the funeral...We did consult a lawyer but he wasnt interested in helping us get what is rightfully ours from this woman...I wonder why? We have given her a list of the things we want..good of you....We would like his ashes, his CD and DVDs and sterio equipment...Is that all? there is another executor who was a long term friend of our Father however she is siding with the girlfriend...does that not tell you something? I shall speak to my brothers about seeing a lawyer Again? What do you think this one will say?

You and your siblings (that is brothers and sisters) had nothing to do with your dad for years. He dies and you pitch up to the poor bereaved girlfriend. Instead of asking very nicely for something of sentimental value like a photo, you demand his stereo, cds and dvds which you feel you're entitled to.

Hang on, you're missing a trick here. Why not insist that the house be given to you as well? :rotfl:

My advice is leave the poor woman alone, let her get on with her life, and you do likewise. For everyone else, please do the sensible thing and make a Will, so that your loved ones that you leave behind have peace of mind - as death and money bring out the worst in some people.

Edit: it brings out the worst in a hell of a lot of people.

Indeed, so does the internet, they are known as WUM's I believe.
  • Why is it so wrong to expect that our Fathers belongings be given to his children? Had she been his wife then we could swallow that but they were only together 9 years, he was our Father for a lot longer.

Why is it so wrong to expect that your Fathers belongs be given to who he wished? If he'd have wanted you to have anything, wouldn't he have made arrangements for that to happen?

cody they were together for nearly a decade, in a loving relationship, they weathered the ups and downs of life together, when was the last time you actually spent quality time with your father, how did you enrich his life and bring him joy everyday like his GF did.
what in fact do you think you have done for your father whilst he was alive, to deserve anything?????
he obviously thought you didnt deserve jack and that is exactly what you will recieve.

disclaimer: even tho i replied, this thread sounds very very familiar, and i smell troll
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

You are his children and she was his life partner. Yes he has been your father a long time but you have your own lives and his was with the women he loved. He would still be with her had he not unfortunately died.

Did you see your father while he was alive?

Just as well the poor old dad wasn't buried, he'd be spinning in his grave at all this malarkey.
