Hello! Sorry I've been away so long - work 'issues'!

Anyway, looks like you're still doing really well - I can't wait to hear about the business idea!

    Still cheering you on! :j :j :j

Hiya Emily , hope you are feeling better ? I have now completed 3 mystery shopping assignments and have another one next week. My target is to do 2 a month, which will pay for the pet insurance we have for our 3 new kittens (£15 monthly for 3 kittens with no excess at M&S).

I also did a car boot yesterday, although in tough trading conditions and baking welsh sunshine I was quite surprised at the end to have made £50 which was a nice surprise. There were over 500 sellers so I have decluttered abit.

I used to be a powerseller on ebay so after reading on here about your successes I may give that ago again, (although I don't want a shop on ebay this time). Lately, I have been purchasing on ebay so I must knock that on the head and sell instead !

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and please keep us updated with your latest news - you really are a great motivator

    Hello everyone

Thank you all of your kind messages, I am feeling a bit better now thanks. Thought it was time for an update though.

Thanks for posting again Jmarko, I was wondering where you had gone :D - I will post more on my business idea when and if it gets off the ground. I am trying to get it going but it's a bit slower than I thought.

I'm glad you are getting on well with the mystery shopping Welshdragon, it gets easier the more you do, I've got 2 this weekend myself. I'm doing a carboot this weekend too. Well done for getting back into Ebay again.

I've not done too much in the way of paying more off my Barclaycard unfortunately. This is partly due to not feeling well but also partly due to cash flow or lack of it. I'm waiting for some mystery shopping money and other bits and pieces so I am hoping to be able to clear some more this week.

I'm doing another carboot this Sunday (weather permitting) so hopefully that should bring some much needed funds. I'm also hoping to get some money for a few things I've got to sell too which I'm going to put on Ebay tomorrow to end on Sunday.

I'm still plugging away at the competitions too so hopefully my persistance will pay off soon. Plus there's AQA and my new venture that I'm working on too.

My boyfriend thinks I am overdoing it at the moment but I know my own health and I would never jeopardise my health for the sake of paying off a credit card!!

However the point I keep trying to make to people is that I need to clear my debts whilst my health is as good as it is at the moment. If I wait for another couple of years then I will be even worse than I am now and the added worry of debt just won't help. This way, I can work hard now and then I will be able to cut my hours down considerably at work which will help me in the long run.

Anyway, my little rant is now over

I'll post another update soon. In the meantime wish me luck with my competitions, I'm hoping I'll get a big fat cheque through the post any day now that will solve all my debt problems ;)

    Best wishes

    Emily xx

Personally, I think it's a good idea, every now and then, to just take a step back and look at what you've achieved - it's often as good a pep-talk as you can get. So, here's what you've paid off this year so far...

    £6,065.15

Thank you Jmarko, when you put it like that I suppose I have done rather well this year considering what has happened.

I'd like to back up the posts by jmarko and full-time-mum. Emily, you have paid off an average of £1000/month, the equivalent of a months wage (or more) for a lot of people, off your debts. Even in a mundane year that would be phenomenal but given the year you've had the word amazing doesn't come close. Be proud of your achievements but also of the impact this thread has had on loads of people (me included) :T :T :T :T :T
