Hi Emily,I found that the best way to figure it all out was in stages of what to do. The first thing is to get a list of all your charges, which you say you have. Bear in mind, you can claim back for 6 years, so your internet banking might not give info that far back. If you need to get the info, you send the data request letter - (under templates library on CAG website).A schedule of charges, is just a list of these with the date, amount and reason for charge. Once you have all the charges listed, send the preliminary approach letter with the list. (giving them 14 days to pay up) At this stage, you shouldn't add interest, unless they charged you a specific higher rate for going over an overdraft limit because of the initial charges. - if in doubt, leave it off. Then see what they say. If you need me to, I can send you my letters, although they are exactly the same as the templates on the web. After that you send the second letter, giving them a further 14 days before legal action, again templates on the web. Then it gets more complicated, and I'll let you know when/if I get there!!!MArtins article talks through it quite well, but i guess you've read that. It IS confusing, but deal with it in managable chunks of "what do I do now?" and you'll be fine.

Hi Emily (and anyone else reading this). I just want to pick your brains - how do I let the tax office know about my mystery shopping work? Can I email or do I have to write? I know there's probably a (confusing) website somewhere but wouldn't know where to look. I want to tell them beofre they get me
    Thanks

I think your £10 a day goal is a great idea. I love the way you and others on this site come up with new and exciting ways to pay off debts. Debt paying can be so boring but doing it in differant ways makes it fun. I'm thinking of trying the same task myself for a couple of weeks. I'll let you know how I get on, and please let me now how you get on.

    Love

Hi Pilchard, when I registered I called 08459 15 45 15. Visit http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/cwf1.pdf to find a form to send off but to be honest it was really easy to register over the phone. She asked for my PAYE number and my National Insurance number when I called so keep these handy.

Thanks for your help Mirtos, I'm going to get the first letter sorted tonight and post it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!

Go for it Batgirl - I've found it really easy and my debt seems to be falling all by itself!!

halloweenqueen - my sister is ok thank you, she's got over her disappointment. When she gets pregnant I will definitely let you all know :D

I really think I will. I am amazed at how much money my OH and I have made extra to normal wage since we have found this site. What withe click thrus, myst shopp[ing, amazon, ebay, quidco etc etc etc it really is shocking. So when a few months ago I would have thought it impossible to make £10 a day but now I think it is really do-able.

WOW, well done and congratulations on getting rid of so much of your debt, you are an inspiration to everyone, I had planned a day of nothing today !!, but I feel motivated to sort out my paper work now, thank you.

If you are looking for another mystery shopping company to sign up to, try First Tracking. There isn't any mystery to it though, it is an open audit of the adverts and trailers before a film, sometimes there is a Point of sale check to do as well.

The company are looking for people to do checks this weekend and next weekend, if you click here http://www.firstmovies.com/FirstTrac...ssignments.php you can see all remaining assignments, if there is something in your area you would like to do, join up here http://www.firstmovies.com/FirstTracking/Signup.php

I am not sure what the pay is, but it is more if you have to do a POS check.

    Hi everyone

Well I'm still going with my challenge - I don't think I have made £10 a day but I have certainly cleared £10 a day from my Barclaycard. I need to get some more money though or I am going to leave myself short with my other commitments. Will be Ebaying like mad over the weekend I think :D

I've also had a couple of mystery shops over the past couple of days which will fetch me about £20 plus I've got another on Sunday. I've got another weekend on my own too as my boyfriend is on a stag weekend (no not his own! I wish! ) so I will be Ebaying and AQAing and any other ing that will make me money!!

I'm still trying hard with the prizes too although I haven't won anything else yet - I've been entering loads and loads and loads though so I'm sure it will pay off sooner or later.

Thank you to everyone that has been giving me more ideas to make money and other websites to go to - every little helps.

I have also started to make a Christmas/Birthday box and I'm putting all of the little freebies I am getting in it and I will hopefully be able to start making some little gifts out of it (freebie toiletries and that sort of thing), I also buy some toiletry things when I do mystery shops and I'm allowed a little spend.

I am also going to get my letter sorted to send to the bank regarding reclaiming my bank charges. Phew, a busy weekend for me!!

    Take care everyone

    Emily xx :A
