Hi Pilchard
I'm not too bad thanks, still got my nasty chest infection and I think the dread IV's might be making a comeback very soon. Never mind though, if it's got to be done then so be it.

I was losing motivation with my clear a debt a month challenge so I decided I needed a new target to work towards. It's worked because I feel really motivated again, despite the chest infection.
Thank you for your concern Pilchard, it's lovely to know that people think of me. :A

Is there no end to your financial talents?????????? Not sure if the others on the challenge have seen this site but if they haven't the poor souls won't realise they haven't got a chance of winning against you!!!!!!! Good luck to all of you, though x:T :T :T :TLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Registered this week with the Inland Revenue and asked for small earnings expemption for NI contributions and just received a bill for the last three months of £16-80.
Given that I have only managed to find 2 mystery shops and have earned a total of £10 this is a bit of a problem - will be ringing first thing monday.
Anyone else get this problem?7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
Hi there
I got one too but when I originally registered I was told I'd get a bill but to send it back, I think with the small earnings form thing. I haven't sent it yet cos been so busy at work but it's my aim for next week. I haven't got the message exactly right but I do know you shouldn't need to pay it. Did you phone them to register or download a form or something?
Who do you do mystery shops with? The one I use sends loads of stuff via email and has even been known to call me. I'm not sure about if it's allowed to put it on the site so PM me if you want.Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -

Hi I have been following your thread for months, from way before I registered. You have my deepest sympathies for your losses earlier this year, and my sincerest respect and admiration for your strength and determination.
I just wondered how you were doing reclaiming your bank charges as I have just this weekend made a significant breakthrough with mine. If you are struggling with any part of the process feel free to PM me and I will halp in any way I can. I would add the interest charges if I were you as they can be £100's! Also I have found them to be a suitable bargaining tool.
I just thought I would add this as it is coming to the end of your month off and this would really kick in just before Christmas (it tend to take a while, although the longest part you appear to already have done).Debt £5600 all 0%0 -
Hi Emily,
I have just read through your whole thread and wanted to say congratulations for what you have acheived so far. I am currently around £3000 in debt and am trying to do all kinds of things to clear my debt, as you have been, such as mystery shopping, market research and selling on eBay. I have to say, you are an inspiration! After seeing what you have achieved, I'm determined to work harder.
I just wanted to offer a suggestion in regards to working and cutting down your hours. If it's the long days or getting up early that makes you stressed or more sick, are you able to still work 5 days and just work shorter hours per day?Debt at lightbulb moment (Aug 2006) $8040 £3238

Hello everyone
I'm back after my break - I know I said that I would be back in September but I now feel ready to start my challenge again
As some people may have seen, I've got a head to head challenge going on at the moment to try and clear my Capital One Credit Card which has now also become my target debt for September.
My plans to help clear this and future debts are:
1. (Confession time now - I never sent off a letter to get my bank charges refunded  ) Send off a letter to get the ball rolling on getting my bank charges refunded.
2. Become more consistent with AQA. I am going to answer 100 questions a day which will net me £30 a day. I think this is totally do-able so I will be starting this from September 1st meaning that I will have made 900 in September which I will push to over £1,000.
3. Carry on with the competitions. I haven't been doing too bad recently. I won a weekend break to Paris which my boyfriend and I can't wait to go on.
4. I have decided that I hate clutter and mess and will therefore be selling anything and everything on Ebay!!
5. Try as many other money making/debt clearing ideas as possible
From the 20th September I will be working 4 days a week again due to my health. I know this isn't very good in terms of clearing my debts but it is good in terms of my health which is more important.
Another good thing is that my family are setting up a fund called Joshua's Star Fund in memory of my little nephew. It's something that Bliss the charity do and if we raise £5,000 for the fund then we get a star named after Joshua. My sister and I are therefore going to be making cards again and trying to raise money in other ways for Joshua's fund. We are aiming to raise 5k by his 5th birthday at the latest. :A
So I will be keeping this thread more up to date now and will let you all know how Joshua's Star Fund is going too.
Take care and best wishes
Emily xx0
