Sounds interesting out of context, yes. The Kodak misprice was 3.5 times and marked as a special offer. This was six times (if I remember rightly) and was it even marked as a special offer?

They're not taking the out of stock approach now - which has actually put them in a bigger problem.

my invoice said this was a reduced item by some £800 odd pounds and its the sale season

harryc.............given that you where indeed spot on , any suggestions how you think this matter should be carried forward.

again not with the intention of getting the camera for I still think that is a lost cause but for simply the sport of letting apple see that it cant lie and cheat and take amoral high ground when its in the wrong.

I agree - make them squirm for not having the decency to treat customers (regardless of motivation) with such disdain - they deserve all they get.

entitlment you say .... my credit card is still down £98 pounds as of two minutes ago since That money is sitting in a pending transaction state ... meaning that my credit card limit is down by that amount ... ie in simple terms they still have my money .

Now there was a time when you went to buy something ..you handed over the money and you got your goods..

then times changed you went to buy where told the product would be delivered and paid when it was delivered...

nowadays its money upfront and well if we dont deliver you get your money back ...ummm....I didnt and us as consumers didnt change the goalposts and rewrite the rules it was bizzness that did that so the very very very least that you and I can expect is that they play by the rules and treat us with respect.

From day one i stated i didnt think we would get the camera.it would have been very nice if it had come but now its not. I was as much interested in how apple would play the game. How they would manage a crisis of thier own making .

if this isnt an importnat issue to you then do move along with your life .But the fact you are looking in and commenting on this forum on this very thread shows that it is of interest to you.

Just don't take it too seriously any of you.

Don't forget that most of us (me included) don't actually comply with Apple's T&Cs for USING the education store anyway.

Now, if you added my kids ages together....that would exceed 18 and in full time education....
