I genuinely can't believe they sold out of all of these cameras before taking £98.70 orders. Maybe they gave them to staff as a Christmas bonus so that they really would be out of stock and unable to supply! ;)

I got one email today about this from Apple showing as all the other posters here.

However, the web site still suggests that my order is current....

Hands up if you really thought the camera was going to be forthcoming ...
for my part Ive had a few bargains over the last year or so looking in on this wonderful site... I have also had a many many more dissapointments .

I didnt think we would get the camera but i did think that a company with the reputation of APPLE would have reacted better than it has .
Apple owes a large thankyou to the people of this site for highlighting an obvious shortcoming in thier terms and conditions...I wonder what the legal team who advise them have to say for thier ommision on web pricing errors.

I too have filled in the watchdog form

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/contact/index.shtml

not to pursue the camera issue as such but to make apple who should have known better squirm.

Yeah for now...they said on the email that it will eventually will be cancelled.

All joking aside, we all knew that they wouldn't ship these, although we had some hope. I knew that they would claim the item was out of stock and sadly like many other people have said on here their web-based customer service is appalling. The only thing that i hoped for out of this offer was some free itunes downloads as an apology for the mis-price.

What i find ridiculous is that it will now take 3-5 working days to refund money back into people's accounts when it only took 30 mins for them to take it out. That is a severe inconvenience as now i will have to wait another week (by which time the sales will be over) to get my money back in order to buy a different digital camera.

Question - How many people will still shop at Apple despite their poor Customer Services?

They are saying they will be cancelled 'soon'. What a shame we can't make Apple prove that they really don't have the stock.

Ok.. I've talked to a nice lady. She said she'd call me back which she did.

She has now confirmed "It's a pricing error and all orders will be cancelled"..

Why do they all say different things?

Well, that's not in the terms and conditions... Only able to cancel if not in stock, according to the T&Cs of my order and not the new, amended ones. This is very interesting...
