  • Boddy - hugs to you, GS and GF. Meant to be or not, it is still a sad loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Valli - I love my slow cooker, but maybe don;t use it as much as I should.

I'm off for a coffee and think I'll put some broth mix to soak.

DH is going to start some drilling and filling so I might have to hibernate in the kitchen and do a bit of baking.

I seem to be bumbling along as usual! Fed everyone, started loading the dishwasher, hoovered the kitchen floor a bit and made myself a coffee :D

I have a feeling my today job will be lighting a fire in my study and clearing the floor. Maybe if I crack down I can sort it! Before and after photos sound tempting...but then you'll see what a slattern I am :rotfl:
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I have, this weekend, done at least 6,359,957,001 loads of washing.
Trouble is I'm struggling to get it dry as I have no TD.
Note to self - train DH how to use the WM AND how to deal with wet washing appropriately - i.e not just leave it in the machine. for days on end hoping it will hang and dry itself.

I can't get into the swing of it today. Just a gentle hover at the moment.:o

And I want to PM you, LOL

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

I've stripped the bed and put the sheets in the WM, watered all the plants, folded & put away the washing off the airer, renewed my library books, virus scanned the laptop (had that fake alert virus here too) and cleared out the bag i brought back from the conference - most stuff into recycling! Next job for me is to clear and wipe the shelves in the kitchen and sort yet more recycling. DH still in the study though it's looking great.

boddy - hugs to you, as you say not meant to be but doesn't take away the sadness.

slow cookers - i love mine but DH doesn't like any kind of casserole food, esp done in SC!! typical. I tried beef in ale hotpot last week. I thought it was lovely but he didn't like it and ended up with a kebab, so i've an extra portion in the freezer for me :D

ETA: much as i love you all i'll opt out of the card list - i'll be lucky to get any done this year...

right better get on as I need to go out in about an hour

lil_me hope the house in the village is still available - you are an enterprising lady and I know you will get something suitable for the family - good thinking on DH's part about the warmth/insulation - and I agree with you a bungalow would be better for you - woofs are always a problem when it comes to renting but there will be a suitable home where you cantake them - they are part of the family! (another dog lover here!) will be keeping fingers crossed for your search.

    Hi all,

Just to say that flying will be stopped in this household today - just heard that i am an auntie again - ruby - (for those who were on the thread last xmas you may remember that my b & sil lost a pregnancy at 22 weeks) so great joy & tears all around. they have also given her my mums name as here middle name so extra tears for that as well.

Anyway off now to collect niece and sil mum to take them to the hospital and hopefully get a cuddle with a newborn.
