Hi peeps, hugs to the ones that need it, sorry I have not read all the replys there are sooooooooooo many lol.

Not a good day at all, I had little sleep last night due to pain and just feeling yack. The stress is causing trouble I am hoping the bells palsy is not back. Managed to fall asleep on the couch poor mum had come to visit and I slept. Then at 1 oclock my gran phoned and woke me up, she wanted to go shopping so I had to toddle round there and go shopping with her.

Got back had a sit down for 5 mins then had to go pick up my daughter from school. By this time I'd had nothing to eat all day and was still feeling sleepy but nasty mother would not come with me as she dnt like the walk.

Any ways she must have been feeling guilty, as she has paid double to the washer man for me so that saves me 12.20 as she dnt want it back then she gave my 5 year a fiver.

Oh and not only that she made me some toast and a cup of tea too. I think people have realised that I am quite peed off with them not understaning how ill I feel. I have been trying to keep going but I think things are creeping up on me.

Thats all for now peeps, enjoy the rest of ya night.

You should try to eat a bit more honey - it will give you some energy and maybe help you feel a bit more 'human' - tell them how you feel - often they just dont realise how bad we are and I hope they will help you more.

  • Denise - I hadn't heard it, but a quick search found this. No idea about the tune. Abergavenny is about 25 minutes drive from me, with a very good hospital (Nevill Hall). Most going under there own steam choose that one, rather than the Royal Gwent in Newport. They have good markets and it's quite a picturesque little town.

    Well, you know he's mine
A chase in the hills up to Abergavenny
I've got to get there and fast
    If you can't go
Then I promise to show you a photograph

Toots - is that a term of endearment or a recommendation?:rotfl: Seriously, if you can eat honey (DH can't stand it unless it's on gammon) it is very good for you - natural energy, natural antiseptic etc. And you can't beat Lidl's "Marlene" for taste and price, IMHO. :p

  • I have been trying to do this weeks flylady lists and my house has been cleaner and tidier :)

BUT can you tell me - do any of you get frustrated at your OHs lack of help? I email him the list every morning and then we have basics like dishes etc that need done.... only it seems to end up just being me doing it all and hes wipes (the already cleared) benches down at most at the moment. Its driving me nuts!!! and before anyone says "does he spend less time at home than you?" no he doesn't, if anything he is home more than me!
apologies to you lilmissemmylou I think I missed welcoming you to the thread earlier - it was part of your post that did it :rotfl: when you asked about Oh's lack of help I thought "ooooh I dont have one of them one of the others can help there" and that was very naughty of me - please forgive me !!!
Its agreat to see the differences in our homes after short times on the thread following the lists - all the little jobs soon help. remember "babysteps" - dont go trying to do it all at once - all the rooms come round soon enough and if one bits easy then you can maybe do something you missed last week.

As lil-me said lots of the ladies have problems with OH's so dont worry you are def not alone there - you just have to find someway of getting some help from him without it causing WW3 or tricking him into thinking it waas his idea or that he could benefit from it.

Denise, we're all ok honey, usual poorlies and moaning minnies like me but other than that just dandy. Sorry to hear you've had another poo week. Is the 'credit crunch/recession' effecting where you are much or is it pretty safe down under?

Just been talking to DP, he's just got someone else a job, nearly everyone we know in the construction trade inc his brother (builders, plasterers, electricians, plumbers etc and the latest one a door fitter) have been laid off or are on short/reduced hours. They mainly work on building sites for new houses, gone from fitting 40+doors to 4 within a week or so. Almost everyone we know working in factories is out of work or on different hours to compensate because of a reduced work load. It's really sad and worrying, so far DPs still working but it's getting harder to earn the money, just hoping the Christmas boost there usually is is still there. The bull story BT bosses came out with comes down to them saying they will stay loyal to permenant staff but I know several staff who are on temp agency contracts who have been there 5 years plus who will be loosing their jobs, I am disgusted with them using that as a sweetener to the massive job losses.

Sorry, you're probably all hearing enough about that sort of stuff already on the news but it's getting so close to home now. I'm seeing it effect friends and family so much and it's heartbreaking especially for those who've never been out of work before and have children, never a good time of year for it but Christmas time must be the worst :(

Kids scoffing, computer playing up still but might give up for tonight as it's sooooo cold in the conservatory and the gas fire is making me sneeze today (DP dragged it back in from garage as it gets soooo cold in there in winter and the gas is 'free' because we were left a bottle in the shed :D just wondering how much longer it will last as we used it loads last year....)
One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - I'm undecided about the ovaries...they said it was up to me. Part of me wants them gone then I won't have problems later but I need to do some research. I was told to have the op at 18 so it's not like i've not had time to think about it!! Lol!

I guess.. 156 years is a fairly long time to have been thinking about it! lol :p

  • yes lil_me the construction trade has been badly hit - is DP in it too? I have friends who got married last week and had put a deposit on a new house being built in the summer and they cant get a response from the builders to either get their deposit back or find out if it is going to be built at all? Its very scary all round and like you said at this time of year it seem so much worse.

meant to say mudbath - my mum had a hysterectomy when she was about 40. They left the ovaries and she went on HRT a few years later, but is off it now! It was well worth having it done and I don't think she ever regretted it. Was hard work after the op though as she was recently divorced with 2 kids.
